March 20. It could only mean one thing: Sabo's birthday. You wanted to make it special, now that it's your first time celebrating since you became his girlfriend. However, you couldn't be decisive about what to do for him. Should you throw a huge party, inviting everyone? Or should it a quiet one, one involving his only close friends? Not being able to decide on what to do, you finally went to seek help from your best friend, three days before the birthday.

"Eeeh? That's like in three days! And you still haven't thought of anything?" Koala remarked.

Sullenly, you nodded. "I can't make up my mind on what to do..."

Koala tapped her head. "Why don't you list what Sabo like first?"

"He likes to read, practice combat, the color blue..."

"Coffee?"

"He likes tea, too."

"What does he not like?"

"Hmm..." You thought about the time you had clumsily tripped down a set of stairs. Sabo was the first one help you, yet scolded you for not being careful. "He doesn't like people getting hurt."

Koala smiled. "Well, what do you like?"

"Huh? Wait, why are you asking me?"

"Just tell me!"

"I like reading, too... and (coffee or tea)... I still don't get where you're going with this?"

"I think that you should get him something he likes and then scavenger hunt for it!"

You grinned. "I think I know what you're doing now... Here's what I think..." The rest of the conversation dissolved into whispers and Koala helped you for the next two days getting ready for his birthday.

It was the morning of Sabo's birthday. Even though Dragon had allowed a day off for Sabo, you knew that he would still check his desk for work, out of habit. You waited in the hallway for Sabo to walk out for breakfast. The door clicked open and close, and you heard the sound of Sabo's boots against the floor as he walked away to the cafeteria of the Revolutionary Base. Then you sneaked in and a placed a light blue not on his desk, showing him the first step.

Yes. You were going to send Sabo on a scavenger hunt.

Sabo's POV

He was calmly eating his eighteen inches high stack of pancakes when, suddenly, his perky orange-brown hair partner popped up in front of him.

"Yo, Sabo! Guess what day it is?"

"Umm... my birthday?"

"Ding, ding, ding! Correct! Happy birthday~!" She took a small present wrapped in blue. "I wanted to be the first to say it! Nobody has said it yet, right?"

"No..." Sabo was kind of disappointed. Usually with things like this, (Name) was the first one to say anything. When it was Dragon's birthday, she had thrown an epic party that lasted three days. Every day was different and special.

"Have a nice day, Sabo!" Koala waved and skipped out of the cafeteria.

Sabo devoured the rest of his pancakes and, out of habit, walked to his room to check for paperwork. He looked on his pristine desk and found half-sheet blue note with typed words on it:

Good morning! Throughout the day, you'll notice one person missing. If you want to find that person, then I suggest you follow these steps:

First, figure out who's missing. She sits at the

Right corner of the cafeteria and she

Eats (favorite breakfast)

Accompanied by (favorite drink)

Dresses in (favorite color), and will

Exercise in the morning, usually combat.

Remember, you will need to

Collect five items that

He or she likes,

As some might be shown above.

Number 1 is where you were at earlier.

Clues about where the person is and about what some of the items are will be hidden near the items you need to collect. Time's a tickin'. You have 'til evening at 7 'o clock! Have fun!

Kidnapper-san

P.S. You can't tell anyone.

Sabo's eyes widened. "What the heck!? What am I supposed to do? What if that person is hurt?" Sabo paced around his room. "Calm down... First I need to figure who... I should go back to the cafeteria."

Expeditiously, Sabo walked back to where he had his pancakes. "Right corner..."

*Flashback*

Sabo looked around the crowded cafeteria. It was only breakfast time, yet there was no seat to be found. Someone tapped his shoulder.

"Do you already have a seat?" Sabo turned around to see (eye color) orbs belonging to (Name) looking at him.

"No... In fact, I'm looking for one."

(Name) clapped her hand. "Perfect! I have a seat next to me. This way!"

Sabo followed the (hair color) girl through the maze of tables and chairs until they stopped at the far right corner of the cafeteria. The table was fit for two people and was placed next a large arched window that looked out at the base's small courtyard. The courtyard contained the only natural green on Baltigo and there people had planted rows of flowers and vegetables.

"This is a nice seat, (Name)"

"I know, right? It's quiet and far away from the commotion. Plus, it's usually always empty, so I always seat here." She flipped through the pages of her sketchbook, and while sketching, ate her favorite breakfast item, (favorite breakfast).

*Flashback end*

Sabo rushed to the far right table. It was only 8:30 and when he got there, Sabo had expected to see (Name), calmly sketching the table next to her or gulping (favorite drink). However, he was greeted with absence of the cheerful girl. Sabo clenched his fist. How did anyone manage to sneak in kidnap (Name)? He was about to turn away when another blue note caught his eye. Next to the note was (favorite breakfast). Sabo quickly picked up the note and read the typed letters.

Nice work figuring out who's missing! Now sit down, and enjoy a second breakfast, 'cause I know you'll need the energy to find the rest of the items. The second one you should get is what the person's preferred weapon is.

P.S. The kidnapper may not exist.

At the bottom right corner of the note was the letter 'C'. Sabo stared at the sheet. The last sentence struck him the most. "Does that mean there wasn't a kidnapper in the first place? And what is the 'C' supposed to stand for?"
