The Falling Petal

Where it started

She's Maria Petalina Guzmano. A twenty-five year old high school teacher, known as Ms. Petchay on her students. Maria Petalina also known as Petal, is a striving woman. She doesn't party, she only had one boyfriend in her 25 years of existence. 

She's a beautiful and cheerful woman, alot of her students love her, especially the boys. But what bothers her is that after she broke up with her first and last boyfriend 7 years ago, no one ever dared to court her again, Some of her students attempted to but man! those are boys! Little boys according to her point of view. But there's this man, Yes! A real man who she adores so much. This man named Gravity Vince Carlos. Also known as Gavin Carlos to his fangirls. 

Gavin was a varsity player of their university, a star player. His handsome face, Charming personality and Oh so hot bod got the hearts of many college girls that time. 

Despite Gavin's popularity, Petal still had the chance to be friends with him, She remembered how all the girls in their campus would look at her with envy everytime they see her hanging out with Gavin and his teammates during lunch breaks. She and Gavin are seatmates in most of their classes, she was assigned as his tutor in their freshmen years 'til they became much closer, like bestfriends. Maybe that's why she only had one boyfriend. Gavin was always over-protective of her. He never allows her to be friends with other guys, Gavin hates it everytime he would see someone trying to be close to her, Petal was a very pretty girl, She also had alot of admirers which Gavin obviously hates so much.

Until came Henry Dela Cerna, Gavin's newest teammate.Henry was a good-looking guy and a smart one too. Until then, Henry became much closer to Petal, He courted her for 5 months and Petal said her sweet yes to Henry in the middle of their sophomore year. 

Henry has been a very good boyfriend to Petal, As the time went by, Gavin felt a little bit out of place in the life of Petal, until they almost stopped communicating, Henry also was a jealous and very possesive guy, He was jealous at how close Gavin and Petal was, He ordered Petal to lessen her closeness with Gavin because the people around them were thinking that she's a playgirl, hitting two men at once. 

In their junior year, the friendship of Petal and Gavin totally ended. They stopped talking to each other. Gavin started dating other girls while Petal and Henry worked their relationship stronger. 

Until came their graduation. 

It was an emotional moment for all of them, mixed emotions filling their hearts. In their graduation party in the evening, Gavin was about to go to the men's washroom when he heared someone sobbing. It was Petal and Henry. Petal was crying while Henry was there holding Petal's waist and trying to kiss her. She kept struggling but Henry was alot stronger. Gavin didn't waist a single second, he ran to them and punched Henry straight on the face, Henry was about to fight back but some security guards seem to notice the commotion happening in the corner and did their job, threw Henry out of the event area. 

Petal was still crying so hard while sitting on Gavin's passenger sit. There he was hugging her tight as if he wouldn't want to ever let go of her.

"Hush now, Sweetie please" He whispered in her ear.

"Gavin, I missed you. I missed you so much" she said getting out of his hug and looking straight to his eyes.

"I missed you too Petal. I can't believe Henry can do this to you. I was so stupid. So stupid that I let him get close to you."

"Oh Gav." then she hugged him and rested her head on his chest.

"Let me bring you home sweets."

They were already infront of her house, just still sitting inside the car. No one was talking. Just feeling each other's presence. 

"I missed you Gavin, I want our friendship back. I miss being with you Gav."

"I wish I can be with you again, I wish I can still hang out with you like we used to but..."

"But?"

"but I'm leaving"

"leaving? what do you mean? where are you going?"

"Los Angeles. Someone oferred me a modelling job."

Wide eyed, she turn to him and hugged him so tight. "Oh my gosh! Gav! That's awesome! Haha!" she said giggling.

"Awesome?"

"Yes! You finally get to use that good looks of yours! Oh man! I'm so happy for you!"

"You're not even sad that you won't be able to see me for a long time?"

"Long time? you're gonna be a model my bro! I'll still see you in ads and internet for sure!"
