BEEP

BEE- I woke up to the infuriating sound of my alarm, I groaned loudly wishing it would turn off some how magically by itself. I snatched the pillow from behind my head that had blue and white designs and smashed it against my face, why can't a normal teenage girl get her sleep?

"Rise and shine Lace, time to go back to school." A voice said opening my door with the screeching sound echoing throughout the hallway, "Oh come on out of there, you can't stay in that cave of yours forever. You get to see all your friends again!" My mother shouted enthusiastically, I really don't feel like getting out to be honest I am super tired and plus I studied last night to catch my brain up on everything for school. I am really a morning person but today wasn't my day to be frolicking happily through the corridors of the school. I sighed and took the pillow off my face to see the sun sparkling in my room, and the light washing on my walls, I turned to see my mom walking towards my bed to sit down.

"Mom I really don't want to." I sighed sitting up from my bed, she smiled thoughtfully.

"I would love to keep you on your first day- wait what am I saying. You must get up get dressed, get hair fixed, teeth brushed, and downstairs for breakfast." She stood from my bed, and walked towards the door she stood at the frame for a few seconds.

"Your not leaving until I leave my cave of a bed are you?" I asked sighing, she shook her head as an 'no.' Of course not, "Bleh!"

I ripped the sheets off of my bare legs and let my feet rest on the silk carpet beneath my bare feet, I walked slowly over to my dresser as my mom finally began walking in the hallways probably going downstairs for breakfast. I pulled open the first drawer and began searching for some shorts for this sunny day, I pulled out a pair of jean high-waisted shorts with small rips at the bottom I closed the drawer, and opened the next to search for a top I chose a white lace crop top. I walked over to my closet where my shoes and jackets were located. I bent down slowly to figure out what shoes are good for the first day of school, hmm...- Aha! I picked my red and white converse and slid them on, -yes I didn't put socks on, don't judge me.-

I walked to the door that leads into my mini bathroom and stared at my bed head. My blond locks were all knotted from my tossing and turning in my sleep. I took the brush that was in my mirror cabinet and started to brush gently without pulling a clump of hair out. My hair was naturally curly so by the time I finished I knew I didn't need anything more to be done with it, I looked under the sink where my perfume bottles and make-up kit were placed and today was not a day for eye shadow, red clumpy lipstick and what-not but I decided light colours would be nice, so I applied thick mascara to bring out my eyelashes and added pink blush to my cheeks, finally I put light lipstick pink. I smiled at myself in the mirror, -Okay I'm ready for some new comers to this school bring it on.- I wondered out of the bathroom back in my room, I searched for my book I've been reading over the summer I started last Friday it's called Stargirl by: Jerry Spinelli, yes I know it's like a fifth graders book but it's still remarkably good. I found the book under my laptop and snatched my bookbag from my study desk's chair, I quickly dashed into the hallway closing the door behind quickly and rushing down the stairs to eat breakfast. The worst part of my day that could happen would be coming late to class and having detention, so I should eat quickly.

"Hey sweetie, ready for some breakfast?" My mom asks, as I practically tumble down the stairs.

I nod in agreement and settle down in the stool behind the island of the middle of the kitchen, "Mom where is Luca he needs to drop me off, and I must not be late." Luca is my older -by two months- brother and he is allowed to drive the car but I'm not appearently, last time I tried driving I almost ran over the neighbors cat and drove over the 'Stop' sign. I am still allowed to drive, its just I need to be cautious- as cautious as a grandma, rushing to get to the other side of the rode even know she has nothing to live for.
