After the class had settled down, parents were called for their kids, as were the police. And since the police were here, that meant Stiles' dad was here. I was currently sitting on a desk next to Stiles and his father, wishing that I was somewhere else. Why is it that all summer things were okay, but now things are starting to happen again?

My eyes widened as I watched Sheriff Stilinski approach Allison's father, "Mr. Argent... you wouldn't happen to have any insight into what's happening, would you?" He asked.

Allison's father gave Mr. Stilinski a confused expression, "Me?"

Sheriff Stilinski nodded, "Yeah, with all of this bizarre animal behavior going on you must have seen something like this before, right?"

Mr. Argent looked a little thrown by the question being asked, "I'm not sure why I would, or why you think I would.."

"I'm sorry... I could have swore I've heard my son talk about how you're an experienced hunter.." Sheriff Stilinski said as he glanced over his shoulder to Stiles. I could feel my boyfriend's entire body stiffen as his eyes widened and he kept his gaze on the floor. Oh damn.

"Oh, well yes... I was... not anymore." Mr. Argent said as he glanced at Stiles and myself... awkward.

Sheriff Stilinski nodded and then made his way back over to Stiles and myself, Stiles was giving him a look of pure annoyance but he shrugged it off and decided to go and talk to Miss Blake.

I let out a sigh as I dialed Scott's number on my cell phone, I have no idea where he went or why he was called out of school and I wasn't-- but my gut is telling me it's freaky werewolf crap that I just don't have the time for. The phone rang twice before he finally answered, "Hello?"

"Hey, um-- something really freaky happened in Miss Blake's class and--"

Before I could even finish he cut me off, "Kase, can this wait-- I'm kind of busy right now."

"Um, no Scott. I'm pretty sure being in our own version of The Birds qualifies for immediate discussion." I retorted as I glanced at the dead body of a crow on the desk in front of me.

Scott sighed, "Just, meet me at Derek's house."

"What? Derek's house? Why the hell are you at his house?" I asked in annoyance.

"Just get here," And with that he ended the call. I let out an annoyed groan as I slipped the phone into my pocket. I really don't want to even think about Scott dragging Derek back into our lives. Because nothing but trouble comes with Derek, and I was really enjoying not being in the eye of the trouble hurricane.

Stiles let out a sigh, "So... Derek's house?"

I nodded, "Yep."

"I just-- I wish I knew what he was thinking... ya'know?" I said to Stiles as he drove down the road, for once I was actually in the front passenger seat of the jeep, and I was really enjoying it up here. I may have to banish Scott to the back after this... maybe.

Stiles nodded, "I'm sure he has a reason to be there."

"Yeah, a reason that is only going to cause problems." I muttered in distaste. As Stiles made the familiar turn into the reserve where Derek's rundown house is, I could feel my stomach drop. I certainly didn't miss this place, that's for sure.

Over the summer, I hadn't seen Derek once. Nor had I seen Peter, Erica, or Boyd. Isaac, on the other hand, was actually a very good friend of mine at the moment. He has been really nice lately, and hasn't been causing any problems. He is actually really fun to hang out with, because he says some of the funniest stuff. I guess it was stupid of me to think that all of our problems just vanished and we wouldn't have to worry about anything anymore.
