Chapter 3: You Will Be Mine

''Why? What? Why me! Why this, why that!'' He roared in my face. I flinched and shut my eyes tightly, I was terrified at this moment. He sighed again.

''You ask too many questions. I'll just take you with me. Because Alice, you're my soulmate. And I'll never let you go.''

Chapter 3: You will be mine

My breath got hitched in my throat. And suddenly my strawberry pyjamas became the most interesting thing in the world to look at. I always thought soulmates were in cliché romance stories. I never had a true love. I never had boyfriends. I never had my first kiss, and I was still a virgin. These things were very precious to me. I wanted to give them to the person I truly loved with all my heart. I never felt real love. All my friends said that love is the best feeling in the world. I always wanted to experience it, but with the right person. Did demons even have a soulmate? They were cruel, cold and heartless.

Suddenly I felt Balan wipe away my tears. I felt the need to be closer to him but controlled myself.

His minty breath fanned on my face. Every touch was like little trail of fire on my skin. He gently wrapped his muscular arm around my waist and suddenly something stirred inside of me. I'm glad he was holding me because I'm sure I would collapse to the ground. He took my hands in his and placed them on his chest. He pulled me closer.

''Look at me, Alice.'' He demanded. I never seen him so calm before. Was he being gentle? My breathing became quicker and my hands started sweating. God, was I feeling nervous now?

''I said look at me.'' His voice was more demanding now. I was starting to feel scared. He suddenly grabbed my chin and made me look at him. I shut my eyes tightly, feeling afraid to open them. I heard an inhuman growl.

''Open your eyes Alice.'' His voice was louder this time. My body trembled in fear. I slowly opened my eyes and met his crystal blue ones. I was suddenly lost in them. Those crystal eyes... They could make my knees go weak. Why was I feeling this way? I just met him. I shouldn't even like him, I don't know him. He's a demon, he's evil. He pushed me against the wall roughly and I whimpered.

''Never disobey me like this ever again. Do you understand me? I am the prince and you should learn to respect me.'' I nodded slowly even though his words hurt my feelings. I finally got a look at what he was wearing. He had a black shirt, his sleeves rolled up. I could see his chest and perfectly muscled abs. He had what looked like a very expensive watch with black jeans. He had a straight jawline that looked strong with a straight nose. His hair was styled messily, giving him a bad boy look. He folded his arm and raised an eyebrow, amused expression on his face. My eyes met his and I blushed, he caught me checking him out. Nice way to go, Alice, I thought sarcastically. I quickly looked away.

''Are you done drooling over me?'' I could feel him smirking.

''I-I wasn't drooling...'' Great, now I'm stuttering. I mentally face palmed.

''You look cute when you blush like that.'' Oh god that voice... I wanted to hear it forever.

''Do I make you nervous?'' He chuckled amusedly. Was he bipolar or something? He was mad at me a second ago. He lifted my chin and made me look up at him. My gaze dropped to his lips. They looked full and wet, so inviting. He leaned in slowly, his cologne was driving me crazy. Why did he have to be so hot and smell so good? I reached my hands out to grab him by the collar of his shirt and pull him closer.

''Alice! Alice!'' I suddenly jumped back and snapped out of my daze. Alex kept on banging on my door. Balan growled and started walking to my room. It took me a few seconds to process what was going on. Then it hit me: He was going to answer the door. He was angry and he might hurt Alex. He was 6 steps away from my door. I quickly clinged onto his arm.
