"And according to these new figures we can bid for the property in Mumbai. If we get it and carry out our plans of remodeling it into a club then it would prove to be an extremely profitable venture since it would double our profits within one year and keep on raising them" Anahita finished with a satisfied smile as she turned to look at the Board of Directors after ending her presentation.
There was a huge applause and she nodded with a smile.
"That was really impressive Ms. Sharma" Mr. Bannerjee, the leading cement seller of India said appreciatively.
"Thank you sir" Anahita said with a smile.
"I don't see any point in discussing this point any more by holding another meeting. I say we give this project a thumbs up" Mrs. Malhotra, Chairman of Malhotra Textiles, one of the top five firms of the country said in an approving voice. There were murmurs of agreement all around the table.
Anahita looked at her boss who was sitting at the head seat of the table and he nodded at her with a smirk as he showed her a thumbs up. She nodded back at him. There were congratulatory handshakes and it was decided that tomorrow's evening would be spent in celebration for the beginning of the new project.
"That was impressive Anahita, but then I didn't expect anything different from you" Ashutosh, her boss said with an easy smile as they entered in the elevator.
"Thank you sir" Anahita said as she took a sip of water from her bottle. She was still feeling jittery after giving a presentation in front of such big people and that was strange. It hadn't been the first time when she had done this but she got goose bumps after these meetings got over every time. But she was very happy. Today she had won another big deal for her company and tonight she was going to celebrate it in her own way.
"What? Thinking about the next meeting already?"
She looked sideways and saw Ashutosh grinning at her. Ashutosh Gupta, India's youngest and most successful entrepreneur. At the age of twenty seven, he had conquered the world of real estate and constructions. Today Gupta Enterprises was the leading firm of Western Asia with its net worth in billions and was continuing to grow more.
Ashutosh Gupta was known for his manic energy, casual demeanor and with a subtle ability to pocket a deal and win any argument, he had established himself as a youth icon and had cemented his status as a force to reckon with.
His money would've been enough to lure girls towards him but god had been more than kind to him and had blessed him with dashing good looks. His tall, lean frame made him stand out of the crowd and his vivid blue eyes could melt any girl's heart. Added to that was his charming smile-The Killer, as portrayed by the media. His crooked grin had never failed him in case of girls and even the older women found it impossible to resist him. He was just perfect in every way.
Okay, not every way. He was a certified playboy and a known heartbreaker. He had never been with a girl for more than a week since his school days and though all the girls knew he was a big rascal, they still couldn't say no to him. There was just something so hypnotic about him that could charm anybody.
Well, not anybody. His charms had never worked on her, Anahita thought with a satisfaction as she got ready to enjoy the look of dismay that she knew was going to come on his face.
"Speaking of meeting, Mr. Gupta" she said pleasantly "I hope you remember that you were supposed to meet Ms. Malini at" she purposely looked at the watch though she knew what the time was "6 at Taj for tea." As she had expected, Ashutosh's smirk vanished and was replaced by panic.
