"Can anyone here me?"Steve's voice rang at the rom and I immediately grabbed the microphone.

"Steve is that you?Are you alright?What happened"

"Hayley,Schmidt's dead"he said as I let out a sigh of relief.

For the past few hours I was praying that Steve will be victorious in stopping Schmidt.I was so worried of the turn of events,everything could go good or worse,it's all up to Steve stopping Schmidt.

"Thank goodness he's dead and you're alright"

"Hayley there's still another problem"Steve began "The plane is filled with explosives and it's headng to New York"

My smile immediately turned to a grave expression as I started to realize what Steve's planning to do.

"Peggy call Howard asap"I ordered Peggy as she quickly went out.

I returned my attention back to the man piloting the plane filed with explosives.

"Steve are you still there?I'm getting you a safe landing,I already called Stark and I know he could help us"

"Hayley..."

"Steve,Howard will find a way,he always do just hang on there"

"Hayley Jean..."

My voice started to crack and my mind is slowly running out of things to say or do.I was slowly losing hope in talking Steve out of it.

"Steve we can make it,we defeated HYDRA,a simple plane wont be a problem"

"Hayley I'm in a middle of nowhere and if I let this plane go on,millions of people will die"Steve explained.

"Steve there has to be another way"I know very well where his talk will end to.

"I need to put her down so that no one gets hurt"he continued

"There has to be another way"I reasoned out "I already lost Bucky,I can't lose you too"

This seems to hit a nerve as I heard nothing from the other line.

I cried silently as I lost all hope in talking Steve out of it.Nothing has ever stopped Steve in doing what's right.No matter what super soldier serum was stuck on him,it well never change the stubborn boy from Brooklyn that will always do what he has to do to protect his country.

Saving lives and defending his country---this is what he signed up for and the price he has to pay to do that,he's willing to accept it.

"Hayley?"Steve's voice was heard again "I think I need a raincheck with our date"

I stopped myself from crying,I need Steve to know that I'm strong and I won't let him go through this pain alone.I will join him until his last breath.

"How about Saturday next week?At the Stork's club?"

"Sounds good to me"he agreed "We'll go back to your rooftop and watch the sky okay?"

"Amazing,just what I need,a date under a thousand stars"

"I think they'll be having a meteor shower next week,I think I saw that on yesterday's paper"he added

"A date under the stars and meteor showers,all I need is you there and I'm complete"

"Hayley I need to tell you something"he started and I can hear static filling up his end.

"Go on Steve,I'm listening"

"I lov----"

Static filled the whole end of Steve's line and my heart that was once filled with love seems to be breaking apart now.

"Steve?Steve?"I cried out hoping to hear another response.

I closed my eyes hoping for one more chance to be with him.

One more hug.One more kiss.One more conversation.One more glance.Just one more day of having Steve Rogers in my life but I know that it will always lead me in wishing for another day with him.

One more time to hear Steve Rogers complete that sentence.One more time for me to reply to him.
