I grabbed my wristlet that carried my phone and $40 dollars my dad gave me for food, drinks and merchandise. My dad quickly washed his cereal bowl and slid his phone in his pocket, then we were out the door.
I climbed into the passenger seat of my dads Honda and shut the door behind me and my dad followed my actions on his side of the car. He put his keys in and then we were off. The first fifteen minutes of the ride were silent, what was I supposed to talk about? I couldn't think of anything except the fact that in a couple of hours I would be standing in front of my idols. I surfed the radio stations until I found a decent song and let it play as I looked out the window.
"You excited?" my dad asked as he broke the silence. "Oh what am I saying, of course you are! Your meeting your idols!" he exclaimed as he shook my arm.
"Obviously," I said with a reassuring smile, "But more nervous than anything." I stated as I fiddled with my fingers.
"Don't be, they'll love you!" I already knew that my dad knew they weren't going to remember me considering the thousands of other fans they've met, but he was trying to keep me positive.
I half smiled and continued fiddling with my fingers.
"So what friends are you meeting up with all the way out here?" I asked my dad as I remembered his plans for the day. To be honest I didn't think my dad had too many friends outside of his job, accounting.
"Oh..uh..you don't know them." he said obviously not expecting my question.
"Well obviously. How do you have friends over an hour from where we live?"
"I uh...we went to collage together." he said almost seeming nervous.
"oh"
"So did your mom tell you her plans for the day?" my dad asked me trying to shake off the last topic.
"Yeah she said she's just going to hang around the house, you know, do cleaning and things like that"
"How fun." my dad said sarcastically.
I laughed then turned up the radio and continued looking out the window, fantasizing about the boys falling in love with me. I shook my head at the thought. "I'm 13." I whispered to myself.

About half an hour later we finally arrived at where the meet and greet would take place. Even though it was only 11am, two hours before it would start, it was still completely packed.
"Ah there's gonna be no available parking, I'll just drop you off at the front of the arena and you can walk in."
I nodded and he drove up to the front.
"Good luck." my dad smiled and kissed my forehead.
I smiled back and got out of the car.
"Text me right after you meet them and everything so I know when to pick you up. I'll be about ten minutes away." my dad said.
"I know I know" I replied. I gave him one last smile and then shut the door and he drove off. I turned around and took a deep breathe. The arena was huge and there was beautiful girls everywhere. I was so intimidated. They all looked about 15 through 20 years old and most of them were wearing booty shorts and shirts that showed off their whole stomach.
I walked in and there was a huge line waiting up to a room where I assumed the boys were in. Probably getting ready to hug a bunch of beautiful girls and take funny pictures.
Oh no.
The picture. That had totally slipped my mind. That picture is going to be the main resource of me remembering this day forever and I hadn't thought about the pose or anything.
I listened around the room to see if anybody else was talking about it to see if I could get any ideas.
"So I'm thinking that I'll get Calum to hold me bridal style with one of my arms around him and the other around Luke, and then have Ashton and Michael making funny faces on either side of us." a girl who looked about 16 stated to her friend. It was a good idea for the picture but I immediately didn't like her. Calum was my favorite in the band, apparently hers too, and she was gorgeous. She had long red hair that went down to her belly button and had dark makeup surrounding her eyes. Her crop top went just below her chest, which usually looks slutty, but with her body shape it looked good. I sighed and looked away.
Since I still had plenty of time until the boys would start meeting everyone I decided to walk around. I walked up to a stand selling T-shirts with 5 Seconds of Summer's logo. There was about twenty people in line in front of me but the line would just get longer so I decided I should just buy one now.
"Thank you." I said to the woman handing me the shirt.
"Your welcome." she smiled.
I quickly got something to eat and then got in the line leading up to where the boys are. I took a deep breath and patiently waited.
