The bright light beamed onto my face, and I winced. My head turned away as I rubbed my eyes. The scent of pure vanilla filled the air, and I smiled. He looked at me, slipping his hands under my head. I was moved about carefully as he checked me. His gloves were soft, and a smile appeared on my face. "Good morning, Sebastian." I spoke quietly, and he sighed. The corners of his mouth stretched into his usual smile, and he pushed the sheets off my legs.
"Good morning." Sebastian replied, taking my hand. "How did you sleep?"
"Words cannot describe such bliss." I slowly stood up, my legs a bit weak. My body leaned against his, and he supported me. His black hair shined in the sunlight along with his perfect skin. We caught each other's eyes, and my heart pounded in my chest. Looking away, I placed my right hand on his chest and cleared my throat. "What's the schedule for today?"
Understanding, Sebastian assisted me to the bathroom. "We received a call from Madame Harland. Her company received a new product of perfume, and she wished for you to-"
His voice trailed off and my eyes stared down at the sink. The running water covered the brush, and he raised it to my mouth.
"Madame?"
I blinked to reality and sighed. "I'm sorry."
"Are you feeling all right?"
I nodded in reply. I opened up, and he began brushing, his eyes staring into mine. He was questioning me without words, and his gaze was getting more intimidating by the second. I closed my eyes and allowed him to finish.
Everything was painfully normal. He was here, I was the only Drowed, and all seemed still. Except she was still on my mind. Even when I think of anything other than her, her eyes return, her smile, and her voice. Everything.
Taken.

He pinned my hair back, his eyes fixed on me through the glass mirror. I knew he was looking, so I kept my gaze down. What was different, my hands. Still shaking and cold. The current waving in my ears, ringing sirens, smiling pearls of white. I closed my eyes and sighed heavily, and my head began to ache.
"Sebastian," I spoke, "I need time this afternoon."
"Whatever for, Jae?" He finished my hair and helped me up. Still refusing his eyes, I made my way to the bed. "With Crawford scratched from the list, we still remain blocked from our goal." I sat down, and he kneeled before me, slipping off his gloves. "We'll have the youth stay here until further notice." I watched him slide the black stocking up my left leg, stopping on my thigh. His lips parted, and he released the hook of the stocking. "What would you have me do?" Sebastian asked, finishing my other stocking. I stood and pulled off my gown, dropping it to the floor. I leaned against the bed's end and hummed. "We'll need to encounter more people around this. Family, friends-," Sebastian laced me into the beige corset and tightened causing me to gasp. "Partners in crime?" He added and tied it in place. I smiled, holding the sheets. "Exactly. With all that's happened, the signs are all gone. We have no link to Master or his brother León, so we'll have to speak with someone behind the scenes."
He tied the black bow to the back of my aqua dress, and I raised the skirt. He propped my boots onto my foot and looked up, succeeding in finding my eyes. My heart stopped, and I quickly looked away. I'm afraid. I'm afraid of those devilish eyes, and how they might take me down even further into insanity.

"Interesting thoughts, Madame." He stood from his chair and made his way around the desk. "Master, gone off with his brother, leaving you with no links to Crawford." He chuckled a bit at his own words. "It is true, but there must be other links besides Hildalgo." I glanced at Sebastian as the pen in his hand swept over the file. "Madame, surely you've gotten answers from the officers."
"The Sheriff is in no position to know about any of this."
"Holding it in secret will only result in spilling beyond control."
"Undertaker."
I called him, annoyed of his resist. He laughed in amusement and shook his head.
"By all means, I'm just riding up for fun." He sat on his desk and flashed a pearly white smile. "I know what you speak on." I narrowed my eyes at him and waited. His nails tapped the desk in a tired rythym and he tilted his head.
"Links to who has the girl."
