"Mom, why do we have to move?" I complain. Living in Jamestown Colorado, that's me. It's who I am. I've lived here all my 16 years of life. But my mom wants to move to West Virginia. But I have to leave all my friends and my boyfriend!

"Honey it'll be good for you! You'll be in the wilderness, and be away from all this technology and city-life," mom counters.

"But I love my technology! Will we even have Internet?" I ask.

"Yes, but only when I allow it. Only an hour a day, got it?"

"I guess that'll be enough time to Skype Drew..." I ponder.

"It'll have to be!" she says.

"Will we have service?" I ask.

"Cell phone service? Yes. Strong cell service actually..." she says proudly.

"Good, then I can call him," I state.

"Okay! Now go pack! We're leaving this weekend!" she says before swiftly leaving the room.

I jog to my room and look around. I'm going to miss this room, and Drew's too. Oh the memories...

I start by taking down my many Ed Sheeran and Fantastic Foursome (danisnotonfire, amazingphil, KickThePj, and Crabstickz) posters. I fold them gently and put them in the boxes that are scattered around my room. I take all my other pictures an various wall decorations down and put them in the same box. My dark blue walls look empty...and I don't like it.

I look in the mirror, and fix my brunette, boring hair. I look closer at my light hazel eyes. I want to look like a German. Blonde hair, blue eyes. Straight teeth would be nice too. But I guess we can't have everything.

I grab my phone and text Drew:

"Hey love, you should come over and help me pack :("

I get a reply soon after:

"Alright Carmen, I'll be over soon love :)" I love it when he calls me love.

I continue to pack until I hear a knock at the door. I run to the kitchen.

"Who is it?" I ask playfully.

"Hi I'm with the phone repair service, may I come in?"

"Hmm, maybe. What's the password?"

"Hmm, ice cream!!"

"Now why do you say that?" I ask, opening the door.

"Because its sweet and yummy, like you," Drew says, bringing me in for a kiss. I smile into it, and he pulls me closer so that I'm pressed against his firm chest. I run my fingers through his hair, while my other hand is around his neck.

"No making out, you have packing to do!" my mom says strolling into the lounge. I pull back giggling, take his hand and guide him to my room.

"Wow, it looks so empty," he says quietly.

"Yeah, its breaking my heart. I really don't want to leave you," I say tearing up and hugging him tightly. He rests his chin on the top of my head and sighs deeply.

"It'll be okay, we can skype. It'll be fine, okay?" he says, rubbing my back.

"Fine." He reaches down and kisses me sweetly, and wipes away my tears.
