I try and hold in my tears as we start our long drive. Why do we have to leave? I don't want to leave my friends and boyfriend behind. I never wanted this. Ever.

Stopping occasionally for gas and rest, we finally get to our destination.

"Go choose your room," my mom says as we get out. I run in, and choose a nice room upstairs with a balcony and a nice cute little wall seat where I can read. The walls are white, but I'll change that. Hmm what color would be good...

"Like it?"

"Hell yeah!"

"Okay come help me unpack," she chuckles at my excitement.

We only get a couple boxes done after the beds, so we decide to go out and eat. We eat some burgers, then go shopping for  paint. I decide to ditch the dark and go for a bright, happy color-yellow. Its not an ugly yellow though, its really pretty. When we get home I text Drew:

Hey babe:) We're here and have been unpacking all day. The only thing I have in my room is my new bed :/

I recieve a reply only moments later.

Wish I could come over and help you break it in;)

Okay, no, I'm not a virgin. And yes, I lost mine to Drew. Sue me.

Cheeky;) But I really do wish you were here:'/ I miss you already...

My eyes water at the thought of having to wait until next summer to see him, run my fingers through his soft hair, to kiss his sweet lips, and to feel his protective arms around me. Soon I'm shedding tears faster than I'm breathing and my mom comes in.

"Car? You okay?"

"I miss him."

"It'll be okay honey. I know it's hard, but you can do this." I grunt and stand up. I throw on some capris and a light jacket before pulling my hair up.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to go explore outside, " I reply before stepping out of my room. I walk down the wide hallway and down the wooden stairs. I open the door, and step out onto porch. I look around. The patio is beautiful. It's a cherry, wood color, with cream colored benches. Flowers in toasted orange pots as big as my head. I walk down the steps and smile as I feel the dirt and sticks under my sneakers. I walk forward, into more trees. I hear a branch snap, and turn around quickly. I see a flash of a person running behind a tree. I freeze, too terrified to move.

Once I calm down enough, I walk very slowly to the tree I saw the figure dissappear behind.

"Um, hello?"

"Let's play!" I hear someone say, very faintly. Like a whisper. I stop in my tracks when I hear children's laughter. I turn on my right foot and sprint back to the house.
