(Background: Itami is a full vampire, has know Azusa, Yuma, Kou and Ruki before they were changed into vampires.)

I stood outside of Azusa's door trying to work up the nerve to talk to him. I like Azusa a lot, I mean I think I loved him. I had known him since we were young, till he disappeared on me for awhile. I was a full vampire and he was just a mere mortal at that time. I had thought for many centuries that he had gotten killed which lead me to murdering a lot of people. I looked down at my scarred up arms, remembering when my father would chain me to the wall of our basement and cut me in various places. This place was a cruel world, it was cruel till I had met Azusa. He had became my light, my muse... he showed me that it wasn't shameful to love the feeling of pain. I took a step away from his door again wishing I hadn't come here again to just chicken out yet again. All of a sudden I heard Yui talking inside his bedroom making my heart freeze. My eyes widen in hurt as I could hear that he was showing her his knife collection. I bit my lip while I felt my eyes water up threatening to fall out. I rubbed my eyes quickly while I was about to leave just to bump into Ruki. He looks down at me shocked as I looked away from him. Ruki then asks

"What are you doing here, Itami?"

I glanced at Azusa's door for a second as realization crossed his face. Ruki has caught me a few times outside of Azusa's door. I then reply very quietly and slowly

"I was to late to see him. I am... sorry for troubling you."

Ruki gently laid his hand on my shoulder while he says sweetly

"Please join us for dinner Itami, I believe Azusa would love to see you again, as well as the others."

I looked up at Ruki, wondering if I really should accept his offer. I feel weird to just mosey around the place like some creepier, even though I already was one. And already have mosey around to Azusa's door all the time. I sighed heavily while replying

"I can not Ruki, I... don't want to be a bother..."

Ruki smirked down at me with that gently caring look. I heard another man's voice in Azusa's room while Ruki lead me down the hallway away from the door. He then says a bit happily

"You will not be a bother Itami, I have heard stories from Azusa of your kindness to him and the others. Come now, you can help me cook if you would like?"

I smiled softly at his kindness, did Azusa really talk to them about me? Maybe it was only once, I mean Azusa would not talk so much about pathetic me, especially with having Yui here. I mean he still didn't know that I was here as well know that he was alive and well. Ruki placed me on vegetable duty, I was slowly cutting up the vegetables while I asked Ruki breaking the silence

"How is becoming Adam going?"

Ruki froze immediately while looking at me. I glanced at him seeing the stress and worry growing in them. I remembered how obsessed he was with that theory, he even thought I was Eve when I was younger getting the creatures mixed up. I then say gently

"You know it says it is impossible for a half vampire to become Adam... yet she could choose you."

Ruki frowns deeply while he got closer to me while he hisses lowly

"What do you mean, half vampires can't become Adam?"

I stopped what I was doing while looking into his eyes with sadness, didn't the man explain to him he couldn't become Adam? I then say softly

"Only full blood vampires can become... Adam. Yet, there is, a slight chance, that she can choose you... to become Adam. Remember that Ruki, she does have a choice on who she wants to be Adam."
