It was a kind of lovely feeling to be engaged. But me and even Nidhi was a little uncomfortable about this engagement 'cause Alia and me, we both were very young for this and this was very often that somebody gets engaged in such young age. Specially in a place like Mumbai. Still we didn't had any discussion about this matter.
There was a kind of silence untill we reached the mansion-house. Everybody entered the home. Varun (one of my friend) said, "So how do you feel to be engaged so soon?"
Nidhi and Arjun smiled and went to their room. Varun, Sooraj and I were in the hall.
"Well I feel very good. And anyways my babies will be elder than yours.", I said playfully punching Varun on his stomach.
We three burst out into laughter. Suddenly, there was some one in the main door. One of the maid went and opened the door. Well as expected there were four girls; Parineeti, Sonakshi, Kriti and Aathiya.
"Well thank god, you all are late!", Varun said moving towards them. I signalled the maids to get their luggages in their rooms.
"Why?", they all shouted in sync.
Varun brought them and we all sat on the sofa.
"Well because...", Varun paused and gigled.
"Because..?", Sonakshi narrowed her eyes, meaning to ask Varun to continue.
"Umm. Because Sonakshi if you would be there nobody would get a chance to even taste any food. Seeing Parineeti, everybody's attention would be on her all because she hadn'tbrought half-of-her with herself in Sid's engagement. And then nobody would even look at my friend and to-be sister-in-law. And Kriti and Aathiya, there was no diet food for you.", Varun said in a breathe. And he said it all because Sonakshi is a little bit fat, Parineeti was fat before but she really worked out hard and lost a lot of fat. And Aathiya and Kriti were too slim figured.
We boys burst into laugh and there was a huge cushion fight in the drawing room, between the girls and Varun. Well Sooraj and I was just the audiences.
After some time the war ended. And there was pin-drop silence in the hall. For a second I felt as if I was in the Lotus Temple.
We all looked at eachother, which took a couple of second and again burst into laughter.
"Anyways, girls why are you so late?", I asked the girls, changing the topic.
"We first need to meet our best friend and then we come and meet our friends", Kriti said smirking.
"Best friend?", Sooraj asked on behalf of all the boys.
"Um. By 'bestie' we meant Alia.", Parineeti cleared our confusion.
"But how did she become your bestie?", I said, still confused.
"Oh! Are you scared that we will go and tell her about all your mischieves and bad habits.", Parineeti said smirking.
"Stop smirking and say.", Varun said. Varun actually is a typical sankey type of guy, who gets irritated very soon.
"Calm down, Varun. We are just kidding.", Aathiya said getting more irritated of Varun.
"She was our junior in the college and we six stayed in the same room.", Kriti said, trying to end the topic.
But it wasn't yet clear to us.
"Who six?", I asked.
"Um. Another was Alia's friend who actually is not her friend now.", Kriti said again.
"Oh cool.", I said, finally calming down.
"Well tell me all about Alia then; all her likes and dislikes.", I said, curious to know more about Alia.
"Calm down, Mr. Bridegroom. We are here till your marriage. You can hear about her later. Meanwhile, let us freshen up.", Sonakshi said getting up.
"But I really need it. I asked her for a date tomorow.", I said, making a worried expression.
"Woah! Isn't that too fast?", Kriti said making big round eyes.
"Shut up, Kriti! In this 21st century, first babies are born and then people marry. And you are saying asking for a date after engagement is fast?", Varun said in a funny way.
"Well maybe. But there is still time. We can explain all the ups and downs, rights and lefts of Alia to Sid afterwards. Let us freshen and rest for a while now.", Kriti said. And al the girls got up and went to their rooms.
They already had once stayed in my house before, so they new their rooms.
Suddenly, something struck on my mind, "Well even if you all first met Alia, you must have had attended the engagement." I said.
"We were too late. We reached there in the end. We were about to meet you there but you already had left for you home so we didn't try to bother you.", Aathiya said getting up the stairs, heading to her room.
Sonakshi shared a room with Kriti and Aathiya shared a room with Parineeti.
"Oh! Okay, fine.", I said in a low voice, smiling, which the girls hardly had heard.
Varun and Sooraj wished me a good night and went to their room which they shared.
I actually had asked Alia for a date on Facebook. And she agreed to go out with me. I was happy and nervous at the same time.

Hey guys, now-a-days everytime I update the story I come up with an apology letter to all my readers for updating late. But as I told you all, I had my 10th's final exams. And I'm sure everyone knows that how important is it to obtain good marks in especially this exam. And also you are given a lot of pressure by your parents and teachers. Well that's why I couldn't update but now as the exams have ended. I promise you to bring new updates as soon as possible.
And hope my apology is accepted and you enjoyed the chapter, though it was a bit short.
