Chapter 2:

Luke led me back towards his room. The door had band logos plastered all over it and loud music was pouring out the doors. I'm use to that though. Our windows are cemetrical so I had to be careful next to the window.

When he opened the door it smelled strongly of him. Which I would expect since... Well since its his room. I casually scanned the floor but suddenly stopped when I saw a pink shirt... Belonging to a girl. Why did he have this.? Why was it beside his bed.? Was there something he hadn't told me.?

I must have forgotten I wasn't alone because Luke found where my view had been left frozen on and picked up the small blouse. Silence filled the room. His face was blank. Unaware of the reason I was quiet. "What.. Who's is that.?" I managed to choke out.

"Melody.. I was gonna surprise you today. I have a new girl friend. Her name is Gianna. I call her GG but yeah."

"Gianna as in the high school head cheerleader.? Luke why didn't you tell me? We're suppose to be best friends.!" I whispered shrieked because his mom was in the next room.

I ran out of his room with Luke calling my name. And I didn't look back. He never told me. It's bad enough now that I had to deal with the guy i love liking someone other than me. But her shirt was in his floor.! He couldn't even tell me that much.!

I got to the bus just in time and Luke climbed on just behind me. I sat down in the front where there were no open seats for him to talk to me. I put in my earphones and listened to I miss you by blink 182 and cried silently to myself. Luke was in the back so I didn't care who saw. The song ended and I felt a sudden yank on my earbud. "What'd you do that for oh Ashton it's you." I said seeing a cheeky Ashton staring at me. He had been beside me the whole time and I hadn't even noticed.

"Whatcha crying about Mel.?" He questioned. I couldn't tell him though. He was Luke's best friend.

"Nothing." I groaned.

Ashton looked at me and then put his hand on my leg.

"Don't worry melly. It's just a girlfriend. Lukey over there won't last to long with her. She's just getting what she wants and when she's done she'll leave him. Don't worry. Plus Luke will always love you... Just in a different way."

"But I don't wanna be loved a different way. I wanna be the only way. But it'll never happen." I cried out before laying my head on his shoulder.
