Chapter 1

Beep.Beep.Beep. Great. It's Monday. What a joyous occasion. The only good thing about this day would be the bus ride. That was only because I'd get to sit with Luke... My neighbour.

Most girls are familiar with him. Luke Hemmings is his name. He's my best friend. All of the boys were. I was just close with Luke.

I got out of bed. And looked out the window. Luke was already outside, strumming his guitar. He's so dreamy but he'd never ever think of me that way. I was 14 he was 17. Major difference in things. He treated me like a younger cousin. One that he loved and cared about so much but would never take a glance at.

So I ran into the bathroom and combed my hair. I didn't know why I was in a rush but I was. I pulled out some jeans and the Nirvana shirt Luke gave me last summer. Still kinda smelt like him. Which was great. I finished getting ready and danced down the stairs. My mom had been cooking breakfast but I didn't want food.

"Morning Honey, you hungry.? Breakfast is ready."

"Uh thanks mom but today I am umm gonna skip out on breakfast." I said glancing out the window. My mom followed my gaze.

"Ah. Go on then. Luke's looking lonely."

I smiled and walked out. It was crazy how fast Luke looked up at me.

"Morning Melody the beautiful" he said.

"Haha very funny Luke. So whatcha playin.?" I asked playfully. Luke seemed to like it when I actually seemed interested.

"Oh nothing really I'm just strumming."

"Can I hear.?"

"If you must your highness." I smirked at his remark then listened to him play. At first I think he was winging it but then i heard the tune of we are young so I started singing the words. Luke looked up at me and smiled. His smile that was so strangely attractive.

The bus turned on to our street. Which meant we had ten minutes before it got to our houses.

"I gotta put my guitar up,wanna come in.?"

"Sure.!"

Luke opened his front door. It smelt like my house... Bacon and eggs. He began walking in but I stayed planted in the doorway. Luke turned around to face me and held out his hand.

"Come on Mel,We don't bite."

Should I continue.??
