"Nice work today, Tetsu!" Aomine-kun smiled.

I blushed. "Thank you, Aomine-kun."

He then picked me up and pecked my cheek.

"I'm so lucky to have you."

He always says the sweetest things. "Well I'm your shadow, after all."

We walked home together, as that was our daily routine.

"So, when do you wanna go out again?" He asked.

"I'm not doing anything this weekend."

Aomine-kun and I have dating for almost two months now, and yet it feels like it's been more then that.

"How about this Saturday?".

I nodded. "Sounds good."

"Okay, good."

I smiled at him. "You seem excited; this will be our fourth date."

He shrugged. "I want it to be special."

I blushed through the walk home.

"Bye Aomine-kun."

He smirked at me as he grabbed my chin. He then pressed his lips against mine. His arms suddenly went down to my waist and mine around his neck.

He then broke the kiss and stared at me with a smile. "See you tomorrow, Tetsu."

Saturday came around and I was excited for me and Aomine-kun's date.

The week seemed rough for him, so I'm glad he had time for just the two of us.

I then feel my phone vibrating in my pocket. Aomine-kun probably texted me. I was correct.

From: Daiki Aomine

Hey Tetsu, I'm not feeling good. Maybe we can reschedule it some other time?

I was a little disappointed, but if he wasn't feeling good, I should respect that.

But he wasn't sick; he was fine. I passed a basketball court and spotted him there. I was going to talk to him, but he seemed mad, so I didn't bother him.

I decided to walk back home.

On Monday, he told me the truth. He told me he was mad and stressed out about school, and he didn't want to ruin our date because of it.

Hopefully Aomine-kun will be back to normal. I hate seeing him stressed, or mad; it doesn't fit his personality.

We walked home together, as usual, getting popsicles. But then, he told me something shocking.

"The more I try, the more basketball becomes boring to me." He told me. "Basketball's just a game after all. From now on, I'll stop playing seriously..."

"That's not good." I told him as I stuck a popsicle in his uniform.

He screamed. "What! A popsicle?!"

"It's all I can do to keep up with everyone else." I responded. "I honestly don't know what you're feeling. But no matter our difference in skill... I'd never want you to go easy on me or slack off while you play."

I had to be honest with him.

"Besides, I'm sure someone stronger than you will pop up soon anyway."

He chuckled. "You're right."

I thought that was the end of it, but... I was wrong. When we had our game with the Kamizaki basketball team, Aomine-kun was different.

He scored a point for our team; he was doing amazing! But then, something just made him turn off.

"Tetsu," He called.

I smiled as he called me. I brought my arm out so that we can bump our fists together.

"It's no good after all..."

I didn't understand. Aomine-kun then passed me, ignoring my fist.

"The only one who can win against me... is myself."

I stood silent. What did he mean by that?

After the game, I kept texting Aomine-kun to see if he still wanted to go on a date, but I never got an answer.

I suddenly gave up, and just continued practice like normal. I didn't really talked to him after that. I don't know why though.

The team, however, was normal as usual, even though noticing Aomine-kun's behavior. We're still a team, no matter what.

A few days later, I would regret saying the word 'team'. Can I even call this a team?
