(⌒▽⌒)(⌒▽⌒)(⌒▽⌒)(⌒▽⌒)You screamed as you were knocked back onto the ground. A twelve year old Budo snickered to himself.
"I can see you laughing, Budo-kun! It's not funny!" you shouted at the raven-haired boy walking towards you."It kinda is, you still can't dodge any of my attacks..." he said softly, extending a hand. You graciously took it.
"It's because your idea of 'going easy' is... like black-belt, ninja stuff!!" You shouted a bit too loudly as he pulled you up.
"That's not a real thing, (Y/N)-chan," he laughed, ruffling your (H/L) (H/C) hair. You blushed brightly. It was true that you had a small crush on him and might've just been doing this to get closer to him, but now it was getting personal.
"Don't treat me like a little kid, Budo!" you snapped trying to seem tougher. Budo was surprised, but backed off anyways.
"Alright, Alright..." he said calmly.
"Why do you bother with trying to teach me anymore?" You asked quietly. Budo looked at you.
"What do you mean?" he replied, actually confused.
"You know what I mean! It's been almost a year and I still can't do anything! So why do you keep doing this?!"
"Why... huh. I never actually thought of it before," he turned around, rubbing his neck. "How about... I'll tell you, but only if you beat me!" He turned, smiling arrogantly.
You stared at him a moment before getting fired up again. "Then I'll beat you right now!!"

That never happened. It's been almost six years since then, and Budo was still untouchable. You've been part of the Martial Arts club since you got to Akademi, and no progress has been made in finding a weak point. All you really figured out was that he has a big ego and is overly enthusiastic.
It was 5:50 after school, and you were walking home. Budo walked up behind you."HI (Y/N)", he cleared his throat a bit to get rid of his 'club leader' voice, "Hi (Y/N)-chan, we missed you at club".
"Yeah, sorry. Shiori-sensei had me stay after to finish some stuff," you responded and stopped at your locker.
Budo looked down and leaned against the locker next to yours. "Really? You've been ditching out on club a lot lately... Is something wrong?" he asked quietly.
You shook your head, setting down some papers. It was true and untrue. You did stay after with your teacher, but it was at your own choice. You loved being in the club, but recently you were beginning to feel that you were just there for no reason. You were also invited/begged by Midori to join the Gaming club. "No everything's fine," You said with a shrug. You noticed that you had forgotten a paper in your class and turned to go get. Budo followed, trying to figure out what you weren't telling him.
As you turned the corner to the second floor, you were met with a large pool of blood. Amidst the blood was a girl from your class, Inkyu, and another girl from class 2-1 was dragging her around. The girl turned and noticed you. She pulled out a knife from behind her and charged you.
You were still in shock that you didn't notice. You snapped out of it just before she could hit you. Budo had jumped into action, kicking her back. She tried to stab him, but he grabbed her wrist and pinned her to the ground.
"Nooo..." she mumbled as she struggled against his weight. She looked at you with sad eyes.
"B-Budo stop! Y-you're hurting her!" you said quickly.
"That's the point."
"Let her go! She doesn't have a weapon and--"
Budo's teeth clenched, "She just tried killing you and you want me to let her go!?"
You jumped. You had never heard Budo yell like that before. "I-I..." You tried to look at him, but he wouldn't meet your eyes.
"Just call the damn police," he hissed. You nodded and pulled out your phone.

The police showed up five minutes later. They had taken the girl, whose name turned out to be Ayano Aishi, into custody. They also found several other corpses. You were sitting outside. You had been crying since you were friends with one of the girls that was found dead. A cold breeze whipped your (H/C) across your face.
You shivered gently. A blanket draped over you. You turned and saw Budo.
"Are you alright?" he asked, sitting next to you.
You nodded slowly and wiped away some tears. He reached towards you about to say something but stopped.
"I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"For what happened."
"But you didn't have anything to do with it."
"I went upstairs. If you weren't there I could've died..." you looked at the ground.
"It's okay... You still had nothing to do with it." Budo smiled a bit, "I'm glad I was able to keep you safe."
Before you could respond you felt a pair of arms wrap a around you. "B--"
"I care a lot about you, (Y/N)... I really don't want to think about what would've happened if I wasn't there..." Budo sighed, pulling you closer. "You beat me."
Your face flushed, "What are you talking about?"
"The deal we made that one day. It might not have been martial arts, but you beat me," his voice dropping to a whisper, "I always put up you because I fell in love with you." Budo suddenly pressed his lips against yours for a few seconds. When he pulled away, his face was bright red. "Sorry if that was a bit extreme, but I had to do it before you had the chance to reject me," he laughed nervously.
"Y-you actually feel that way?" you said, blushing yourself. Budo nodded slowly.
"Don't worry, I won't--" you cut him off by kissing him again. The kiss was still short, but it was all that was needed.
"I should've made the challenge easier in the beginning, no one can beat me!" he said jumping up into a fighting stance. You simply laughed.
