Things became really hectic the closer it got to Kim and Charlie's wedding. Tax season was finally over and so was Gideon's court case. He had won and he was very happy with the outcome. His schedule calmed down a bit and he had a lot more free time. He was able to spend more time with Taryn and she loved it.

Kim had a lot of errands to run and she needed Taryn's help for quite a bit of them. Being the maid of honor was a huge job. Kim tried to stay organized, but there were a lot of details to straighten out. Taryn was glad she was keeping her wedding more simple. She still felt guilty that Mary was doing most of the planning. But Mary didn't seem to mind. She seemed happy to be having the wedding at her house. It gave her the chance to show off her garden, at least.

All of a sudden, it was the day of Kim's wedding rehearsal. Taryn was up early in the morning to help Kim decorate the hall where the reception was to take place. She helped arrange the flowers in all the vases and decorated each table with special wedding favors that Kim had purchased. Kim even had place setting cards for each guest and Taryn helped her arrange those. It seemed to take hours.

Finally, everyone met at the church for the rehearsal. It took a while to get everyone organized, but the ceremony rehearsal went well. Taryn smiled calmly at Gideon, thinking that it would be their turn soon. He smiled back, almost like he could read her mind.

Kim and Charlie made a cute couple. Anyone could see they were in love and belonged together. Kim was very excited about the wedding; Taryn could tell.

The rehearsal dinner was crowded and boisterous. Kim and Charlie both had large families and it seemed like everyone wanted to make a toast. Taryn found herself getting quite tipsy by the time the evening drew to a close. She was glad Gideon was driving them home.

Taryn tried to get Kim to leave at a decent time so she could get some sleep before the ceremony the next day.

"I'll sleep after the wedding," Kim said, excited. "I'm having too much fun to stop now!"

Taryn sighed. She was exhausted. She didn't know if she was supposed to stay up late with Kim or not.

Kim must have seen the look on Taryn's face because she said, "Why don't you go home, Taryn? I don't need your help until tomorrow morning. Thanks for everything you did today."

Taryn gave Kim a quick hug then Kim went off to visit with some relatives.

Later that night, Taryn and Gideon were lying in bed trying to sleep.

"Boy, Kim and Charlie sure know how to party," Taryn said, yawning.

"You got that right," Gideon replied. "I had no idea Kim could be so rowdy."

Taryn giggled.

"I hope our wedding is going to be more sedate," Taryn said. She was not much of a party person compared to Kim.

"Don't worry, my mom doesn't do rowdy stuff," Gideon answered.

Taryn kissed him goodnight before falling into a dreamless sleep.

The wedding day dawned sunny and warm. The weather was going to be beautiful.

After a quick breakfast with Gideon, Taryn got into her bridesmaid dress and quickly did her hair and makeup. She had to meet Kim at her place to help her get ready.

Gideon gave her a ride over there.

"I guess I'll see you at the church later," she said, as she gathered her things.

"I'll be there. You look gorgeous, by the way."

Taryn blushed.

"Thanks. I'll see you later."
