Soon after a while of talking with Niall, I learned more about him. I learned that this is his 2nd year at this college, he has wanted to be in Culinary Arts since he was little and has never changed his mind, his favorite color is green, he can do great impressions of characters and celebrities, and he loves the television show "The Office". I never knew a guy could talk this much. But, soon after awhile all of the students had arrived, as well as our professor, and had moved to their stations. Our professor, who was a female, moved up to the front, "Hello class, I'm Professor Adams and I have a few simple rules in here. One, you may only call me Professor Adams, any other names will result you to be kicked from my class. Two, stay at your stations, the ones you are at will be permanent. If I see anyone going to another ones station, that will also result you to be kicked from my class. Lastly, three, treat everyone in here, including me, with respect," she said as she wrote her name on the whiteboard.

She grabbed a different colored marker and wrote off to the side "Next friday: Competition tryouts". "I am going to be having competition team for baking. We will be going against other huge colleges and universities. All will be timed so, in order for you to be on the team, you must be good and know almost every recipe. Anyone who is late to tryouts will not get another chance, you must be responsible." Both me and Niall shoot glances, he nods, giving me the sign that he was gonna tryout and that I should too. I write on a piece of paper reminding me about the competition and shoved it into my bag.

"Okay, so to start of the year, we are going to be having a small quiz somewhat. I want a simple three tier cake, but the fastest time gets to move up a spot for the competition tryouts for a better chance of getting in. You may work in partners if you like, the both of you will be moved up a spot. You will be graded on appearance, time, and taste," she grabbed out a stop watch, "And you may begin!" she shouted. Me and Niall quickly face each other.

"Red Velvet," we say at the same time and he smirks. We run off into different directions to grab all the ingredients. He grabs all the dry ingredients and I grab the wet ingredients. We mix the ingredients quickly and I pour my bowl into his; he began to mix everything and we went to baking.

After icing the three tiers, we put a white fondant on each one and stacked them on top of each other. Niall let me do the decorations; I put on a few red roses and then wrote Niall and I's name in icing on the side. I looked the cake over and made sure was fine, then I looked over to everyone else and saw that a few were still putting their cakes together. "Done!" Me and Niall shout as we step away from our cake. We saw another group that had already been done, great, now we wont get that spot move. I sigh and look at Niall.

"Alright once you are finished with cakes, you may leave. I will have the winners posted on the door on the outside tomorrow." Niall and I grab our things and start to walk out.

"Im sure we'll win. I bet that other groups cake tastes disgusting," he nodded and looked over at me. I shrug and pull my book closer to my chest. As I'm walking some guy runs into me, making me drop my books.

"Sorry," the guy says as he glances back as he gets further from me. I couldn't see his face well but I could see that he had kinda long, dark brown curly hair. I bend down to grab my books and Niall helps me, smiling at me. I smile back at him and bring the books back close to my chest.

"Well that was rude," Niall says as he walks along beside me.
