Leorio's POV
There he was, standing right in front of me... Kurapika. It's been so long that I had almost forgotten my feelings for the blonde. The air was stuck in my throat as I stare at the small figure before me. Kurapika wasn't as I remembered: his once shiny blonde hair was now dirty and dull, sapphire blue eyes now a dull grey, and he looked so fraigle that touching him would cause his body to fall apart. A soft and quiet voice catches my attention,
"Can I come in?" I quickly step to the side and open the door more for him. He slowly makes his way inside with a large bag hanging over his shoulders. He walks over to my couch, carefully sets down the bag, then sits down himself. He leans back as I close the door, my eyes never leaving him. It's like I've dreamed of many times before for three years... but real this time. I shake my head, still stunned,
"Are you really here? After three years of silence... is it really you kurapika?" As I try to wrap my head around this life changing event I hear the voice I love so much again,
"Leorio... please..." the begging tone in his voice forces my legs to move before my mind could keep up. I was by his side in a second, something was wrong. I ask in a stern voice,
"What's wrong?" Kurapika closes his eyes and weakly shakes his head. I frown and scan his body for injuries, however I didn't find any. I look at his face again, "kurapika, where are you hurt? I need to know." All he did was let out a sigh, which is his way of calling me an idiot.
What is it? What could I be missing? What is he trying to tell me? I'm not that stupid... am I?  Kurapika's body suddenly goes limp and I quickly pick him up. I quickly make my way to my room and gently lay Kurapika down on my bed. He's breathing heavily and sweating, he has a fever. I dash into my bathroom, grab my medical bag, and rush back to Kurapika's side. I open my bag and pull out a needle as well as a small bottle. I take the cap off the needle, stick the tip into the bottle, and pull the medicine into the needle. I pull the needle out once I have enough medicine and stick it into Kurapika's arm, pushing the medicine into his body. Once it's all out of the needle, I pull the needle out of his arm and throw it away. I go back into the bathroom, grab a small washcloth, and pour cold water over it. I ring it out then go back to Kurapika and gently place it on his forehead. I go into the kitchen and grab a glass, filling it with cool water. I go back into my room and sit on the edge of my bed. I speak quietly and gently,
"Kurapika?" He opens his eyes slightly, "I need you to drink some water, it will help." He obeys and I bring his head up so he can drink. He drinks the entire glass and I set his head back down on the pillow. I set the glass on the nightstand and he speaks quietly,
"Leorio?" I look down at him as he places his hand on top of mine, "Thank you..." He falls back asleep and my heart starts to race. I quiely stand up and walk into my living room, I take deep breaths to calm my heart. I knew from the moment I met kurapika that I loved him. After he left to fulfill his mission of gathering the scarlet eyes, he ignored any texts or calls from me. I was heart broken and worried sick, but I'm not a strong fighter so going after him would have just been a burden on him. So I stayed here and focused on my doctor degree, I'm almost done, just another year of studying to go. My eyes land on the bag kurapika had with him, and knowing exactly what's inside, I carefully pick it up. I walk over to my hall closet, open it, and gently set the bag inside before closing the door. I sit down on the couch and go back to reading my book.
"Stop it..." a soft cry comes from my room after a few hours. I keep reading, not thinking too hard about the sleep talking kurapika. His voice gets louder, "I said stop it!" I place my book down and stand up then make my way into my room. I stop at the doorway, stunned by what I see. Kuraika is sitting up, in the middle of the bed, his eyes buring red. His eyes land on me and he tenses up, "Stay away from me..." I carefully make my way towards him speaking slowly,
"It's just me kurapika, leorio. I just want to help you, ok?" Kurapika glares at me, not trusting a word I say. I get closer but he scoots away from me, just before he falls off the bed I leap forward and pin him down. I raise my voice, "You could have hurt yourself!" He struggles against me with a decent amout of strength for as bad of shape as he's in,
"Let me go! Get off!" I manage to kee him pinned to the bed and I start thinking of what to do next. Then, kurapika starts crying, "Please... no more..." Hearing the heart breaking and begging tone in his voice crushes me.
What can I do?  How can I help him? My heart takes over and I lean down. I manage to hold the squirming kurapika still and I push my lips against his. He tries to push me off, but I just put more pressure into the kiss. After a few seconds, he starts to relax and opens his mouth slightly. I slip my tongue through and our tongues dance for what feels like hours. Once kurapika has finally stopped struggling, I pull back. Tears are still running down his face, but his eyes have returned to normal. He sighs,
"What was that?" I chuckle nervously,
"I, uh... don't really know what came over me. You were crying and I hate seeing you cry so I just... kissed you." I can feel the heat burn my face after admitting what I did. Kurapika just stares at me then lets out a small chuckle,
"I thought you would hate me after the way I treated you, this is a pleasent surprise." I sigh and shake my head,
"I could never hate you... I love you too much." His eyes shoot open in surprise then he smiles for the first time in years,
"I love you too." He grabs my tie and pulls me down. We embrace each other as our lips clash together. After another make out session I pull back again,
"You really should be resting, you aren't in very good condition." He doesn't disagree and I pick him up, positioning him back to where he was. I go to leave but he grabs my hand,
"Please... don't leave." I smile and crawl into bed, laying down next to him. I wrap my arms around him and he snuggles into me, falling asleep quickly. I sigh and whisper,
"You are the one that left, remember?" I gently stroke his hair, "I'm glad you're home. I won't ever let you be alone ever again..." With a happy feeling in my chest and the one I love in my arms, I drift off into sleep.
