Steven universe: the confrontation of yellow diamond

The confrontation

(a/N) this is just a short songfic, not an actual story....who knows...if you all like it, perhaps I'll consider it. Anyway, as I was listening to the song "the confrontation" I thought of peridot and yellow diamond, after recently watched an episode on how peridot redeemed herself by trying to stop yellow diamond from using the cluster and destroying the earth.

I just thought this song would go perfect for these two. Anyway, I hope you'll like it.

peridot sighed as she reluctantly walked inside the kinder-garden, all alone.

"It's over now, I know inside, no one will ever know......The tale of yellow diamond and those who died, no one must never know."

Her memory of trying to kill Steven, those crystal gems and and the other innocent people had appeared in her mind as the diamond colony almost destroyed them using the the cluster. She shuttered and shook her head as she continued to walk, unknown to her that a tall shadow was following her.

"They only see the tragedy, they'd not seen my intent, the shadow of "her" evil will forever kill the good that I had meant...."

She sighed as she looked in the old mirror as the reflection of her old self began to form into darkness.

"Am I a good gem?.....am I a mad gem?........ It's such a fine line...between a good girl and a....."

Suddenly peridot heard a dark chuckle. A familiar voice began to bellow.

"Did you really think that i will let you go, did you really think i'd set you free?"

The green gem gasped as the form of Her old boss, yellow diamond, began to take shape from her own reflection.

"If you do, I'm sad to say, it simply isn't so.... You can never get away from me......."

Peridot growled. This is the last time she will ever take orders from this "clod" as she likes to call it. And this time.....she will do some good for herself, her new friends and the ones who died because of her.

"All that you are is a face in the mirror....I close my eyes and you'll disappear."

She looked away and closed her eyes, hoping that horrid memory will dissipate. But as she did, yellow diamond was still there....with a huge smirk on her face.

"I'm what you face when you face in the mirror, long as your live, i will still be here."

The gem walked away as she glared at the mirror and began to walk towards an abandoned door that had broken down due to being really old.

"All that you are is an end of a nightmare, all that you are is a dying scream. After tonight I shall end this demon dream."

As the door began to open, yellow diamond began to slowly crawl out from the mirror that she was placed in by those 'crystal gems'. She began to walk to the shocked peridot and pulled her neck-collar In front of her glaring face.

"This is not a dream my dear, and it'll never end. This one is a nightmare that lives on...."

Peridot, for a moment, began to shake of fear before minutes later, the yellow gem pushed her towards the ground.

"Yellow diamond's staying no matter what you may pretend. And she will flourish long after your gone."

Peridot stood bravely as the man began to walk towards her with an evil grin.

"Soon you will die and my memory will hide you....you cannot chose but to lose control,"

Yellow diamond began to laugh at her old subordinate slave's petty, pathetic intents. Truth is, she was more powerful than what everyone made her to believe, concidering she is one of THE  "great diamond authorities".

"You can't control me, i live deep inside you, each day you'll feel me devour your soul,"

Peridot knew that yellow diamond was getting stronger each day. It wasn't a lie.  But she doesn't want her to know that. Steven and the crystal gems might be in danger and she needs to do things the right way.....even if she sacrifices her life in the process.

"I don't need you to survive like you need me, I'll become whole as you dance with death....and I'll rejoice as you breathe your final breath."

Yellow diamond began laughing as the dark smoke began to surround them. It began to enter through peridot's nose. She struggled as she tried to wiggle free from two dark hands holding her.

"And i'll be inside you forever."

"NO.." Peridot screamed as the smoke began to devour her. Tears of anguish and pain began to fall down her face. The leader laughed at the green gem's petrified face.

"With darkness itself by my side." Clouds began to form as it shows the future of The diamonds ruling the world, along with getting rid of earth using the "cluster". Peridot couldn't take it anymore. She began to scream again.
     
"NOOOOO."

Yellow diamond's body began to suddenly transform into a dark colour, as the yellow dissipated completely. Her eyes turned fully red as she laugh maniacally.

"And they'll know that now and forever, they'll never be able to save earth from yellow diamoooooooooond."

With one final thrust, peridot began to wiggle from the tight grip and ,in a matter of seconds of struggling, finally pulled herself free with anger.

"No.....Can't you see it's.....over now...it's time to die."

The old leader smirked. "No not I...only you."

"If I die...you'll die too." Peridot knew what was happening. She knew that if she did die, yellow diamond would too.......if she was in her.

"You'll  die in me...I'll  be you." Yellow diamond snarled, as she walked up to the gem, face to face.

"Damn you Clod....set me free." Peridot pleaded, holding back a sob. 

"Can't you see? You are me." Yellow diamond growled as she used her hand as a dark aura began to shape around both the diamond and the peridot.

"NOOOOOOOOO...... Deep inside...."  Peridot began to sob as her eyes began to turn red. she knew Yellow diamond's soul began to transform inside her body.

inside peridot's head, the diamond began to smirk.

"I am you....you are Diamond."

Peridot began to hold her head as she struggled not to lose control of the powers that the dark aura had surrounded her.

"No NEVER."

the red eyes returned to peridot's.

"Yes....FOREVER."

"GOD DAMN YOU YELLOW DIAMOND.....TAKE ALL YOUR EVIL DEEDS AND ROT IN HELL." peridot screamed ferociously, tears of pain and anger began to appear.

The diamond grinned maliciously. "I'll see y'all there.....peridot."

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...."

Peridot screamed as Yellow diamond's dark aura that surrounded her, entered her body. The force was so strong, she flew right into one of the rocks, which ended up shattered in the process. Peridot screamed for help as she fell down, her face hitted the ground with a loud thud, causing her to black out completely.....
