Once upon a time, in a far away village lived a young boy. His name was Louis. He lived with his parents and a younger brother and sister. They were not poor but they were not rich. They served the mighty ruler King jasper. His mother worked as the king and queen's seamstress in the castle. She was wonderful at sewing. His father was a builder in the village as well as the castle. He was only a farm boy at mean mR gillers farm.
Who is mr gillers you may ask???? Well imagine a dragon. But not a healthy one. Oh no this dragon had lumps and bruises on his stomach and spleen and herneas in every part of his intestines and his eye was old and rotting and falling out and his claws were infected as they grew into the palm of each of his greedy hands. Now, stuff that dragon into a crotchety stout man with a moushashe long enough to trip over. His face looked something a grizzly bear had mange for 6 years as facial hair was patched all over in spots unusual. His body was always tense, forever stuck in that split second after your mother hears a vase break. He had been farming for so long his once fair ski had turned orange with sun, and was as leathery as the hog hears he hearded.
As you can image, working for this evil man would not be a pleasant experience. But it was the only job he could find. Louis wasn't a very good worker. His head was always up in the clouds thinking of something ridiculous...
"LEWIS!"

"Yes Mr. Gillers...?"

"I TOLD YOU TO LET THE HOGS OUT AN HOUR AGO!"

"I know sir-"

"Oh you knew DID YOU? Then why isn't it DONE!?"

"I'm sorry sir, I just, I saw this frog. And when I looked closely at it, his nose was facing northbound, and if a frogs nose is faced northbound it means once it starts hopping it will take you to your true love!" He responded trying to be as convincing as possible as to not be smacked.

"That is the most far fetched thing I have ever heard in my life. You ridiculous child." He smacked Louis.

Feeling his red face he dared to say, "Sir," he took a breath, "I am just 16 years old, I don't have much time left to find my true love"

"HACK! You foolish kid. When are you gonna grow up. LET THE HOGS OUT! Then as punishment for your foolishness clean out the cow pasture as well!" He retorted and started to walk off.

"But sir that will take months-"

"Don't care." He left, leaving Lewis alone standing in the meadow in front of the barn

Soaking in his evident (?) future, he crouched down and stared at the frog. Now Lewis wasn't one for breaking the rules. Over ridden with guilt he rarely  did anything that would get him in trouble. But this was a once in a life time opportunity, and as opportunity dosn't stay for tea, this was a decision that needed to be made quickly. Luckily the frog wasn't in any rush so he had time to think. Back and fourth and back and fourth he thought on the subject.
The heat of the sun felt warm on his back as he thought maybe he wouldn't return. He thought of ma and pa missing him. But they would want him to find love. What if he did come back though? He thought of mr gillers and stood up and began to walk back to the barn.
But then,
              It croaked
He /had/ to, it was fate! He walked back to the frog and waited for it to move. It didn't. 'None of the stories mentioned that the frog was lazy.... Maybe.. Maybe she just needs some help beginning?' He bent down and poked her legs,

Then shoot back up ready to go through wild thorns, twisting trees and winding roads right up to the house of the girl he would marry. They would meet eyes for the first time and know, know they were destined!

she didn't move.

'That's okay maybe it just wasn't push enough'

he reached down and gently nugged her legs once more

then shot back up ready to go through wild thorns, twisting trees and winding roads right up to the house of the girl he would marry. They would meet eyes for the first time and know, know they were destined!

nothing.
'What if she didn't know the area', he thought

"You lost gal? I can help you out. We can take the hog trail to the ol' travelers path to town."

He gleamed crouching down to frog and nugged it forward. He continued to push the frog far away from the old rustic ranch and down the hog trail.

With every push he thought of what she would be like.

He talked to the frog about his thoughts and though she had no concept of his words he got the occasional croak in response.

Just a few more miles before he reached the traveler path the frog disapeared.

"Wha-???" He searched and searched all over the bushes and shrubs that liked the path in denial as his hopes slowly left him.

"no no no No No No, this is not a maidens house! Where did you g-"

and then something fell from the tree above.

He grabbed his head and looked down to see a half eaten Apple.
