JUNE'S P.O.V

Once Lance finally rode his way over we walked back to the castle to prepare for his welcome home dinner. Even lacy was here.

"Yea, we almost thought they were going to surrender but they ended up taking out a couple of our men and continue to fight. We pulled back for a couple days..." Lance explained.

"How brave of you." Lacy responded.

"We sure are glad to have you here son."

"Yes! Our handsome prince! Where would the kingdom be without you!" My mother fawned.

They all pretend to care so much. But they don't KNOW him like I know him. Not even lacy. They have spent a lot of time together trying to get to know eachother. And she can do that as much as she wants she still won't know him like I do. I pride myself on that.

We are eating one of my favorite meals. Boiled hardened flour noodles and cow cheese from macs local farm, mixed in as well as sprinkled on top.

"So Lance," I started "I was thinking after dinner we can go to the old caves off to the east and see if any dragons have returned from battle or migration!"

"June that sounds awesome, as always, but actually me and lacy were going to do some wedding planning. Maybe pick the area where we are to be wed..."

"Oh. Well bring her too! On top of the caves is lovely! What would be cooler than a dragon wedding."

"Umm... June it was just going to be me and her. And we already had some ideas picked out."

"What what! But you just got here! Aren't we going to hang out!"

"I'm sorry June. The reason I came was to prepare for the wedding. So that's what I am going to do. With Lacy. My
Fiancé"

I looked over at lacy. Dumbfounded.

She looked down. Embarrassed.

"I can't believe this! You haven't even been home for an hour and you DONT want to hang out!"

"June..." He started

"Fine! FINE! Have a grand old time planning your wedding with LACY!"

I stood up and walked away to my room. Well I more ran away. In a huff.

Then I had to go back just for one second...

I walked back in quickly

"June... Come on you know it's-"

I grabbed my plate of food and THEN I STORMED OUT IN A HUFF.

"June!" He called.

No answer.

I went up the stairs and slammed my door.

*at the table*

"Lance it's really okay... If you want to be with June..." Lacy started

"Oh now hush lacy! She just gets like this. Let her cool off, she'll be fine." The King said. "Now who wants desert!"

"Oooo I do!" The Queen chimed

Lacy smiled. But still felt guilty.

Lance didn't say a word.

*in June's room*

Ugh! How dare he! I am his SISTER! She's just some maiden he barley know! Yet she gets all his time!

Fiancé or not. This is totally unjust.

I threw a rock at the wall.

"UGHSIDHFK"

I sat on the floor. Contemplating my possible courses of action.

I grabbed my sword and climbed out the window jus my before there was a knock a my my bedroom door...

A knock that would change my life forever.
