LOUIS P.O.V.

I looked up to see a light green dress stained with mud drooping down.

"heY, WHATS YOUR PROBLEM?!" I yelled

"Hm?" She retorted.

"You dropped your apple remains atop of my head!"I yelled back

Then she came down. Well more like flopped down. Almost a top of me actually.

The most lovely maiden I had ever seen.

"Well sir," she exclaimed, "I should be the one asking YOU what YOUR problem is. For you are on castle territory. Who are you, to yell at me A PRINCESS for doing what I want with my apple. you should be blessed to be graced with the presence of my apple."
She replied smugly

I stood there dumbfounded

"Not really sure how you're the victim in this situation princess. You dropped an apple on me."

"You shouldn't have been standing there. How do I know you weren't staring up my dress as I sat up there?"

"Whoa there wait a sec-"

"I will be waiting no seconds you pervert."

"Now wait just... I'm not a... I wasn't looking up your dress."

"Oh I'm sure you weren't. Why would I ever assume such a thing? Although I am now since you're the one who brought it up."

"Wait no! No I didn't!"

"You say wait a lot. Do you not have an extensive vocabulary? what a pity." She smiled.

"I have a great vocabulary thank you. Very very extei-, extend-"

"Extensive."

My face turned red.

"Yes. That." I said through gritted teeth.

"Humph." She turned away, looking towards the road. Like she was waiting for someone.

"Well I best be on my way. I have a frog to find."

"I'm sorry what?" She looked at me confused.

"Well," I stated proudly, "I found a frog with her nose pointed northbound."

I went on explaining exactly what that meant. Once I finished...

"You actually believe that rubbish?" She laughed. "You're a little dream boy aren't you?"

I looked away.

"I'm sorry if I want something exiting in my life for once. Something lovely."

She searched my face.

"Well I'm sorry you don't have that already." She said sincerely.

"Do you?" I asked

"I do."

"Really?" I questioned. "who?" feeling a little dissapointed.

"My older brother actually." She Said.

"Oh. Well that's not what I mean..."

"What do YOU mean? You said something exiting. Someone lovely. To my that's my brother lance. He's both exiting and lovely and means the world to me."

"I meant like someone to love. Like to hold hands in marriage?"

"Oh that kind of lovely... No I don't have someone like that in my life. Although I have been groomed to be pawned off to kingdoms as a peace offering and such."

"You are to be arranged for marriage?"

"No not currently. Maybe someday."

"Let's hope not..." I said under my breath.

"Hmm?" She asked.

"Oh I said that would stink! Being married to someone you didn't choose yourself. Wouldn't it?"

"Yes and no. In a way it's awful, but in another it's honorable. My brother is to be arranged with a maiden from another kingdom. Her name is lacy. She's lovely. He sure is quite taken with her. They are going to be married at the end of this month. Which means he has to come home from the battle to get ready and plan. And that's why I am here. I'm waiting for him to ride up and catch him before he becomes to busy with preparations. PLUS he will be here until a couple weeks after the wedding. He won't leave unless an emergency call to arms. Isn't that exiting!"

"I would imagine so. He seems like a good man. And role model to you?"I said

"Of course. My name is June by the way. June pepponapolis"

"Louis Jordan."

"Louis Jorden? Like as in Maria Jordan the castle seemstress?"

"That's the one."

"Oh! She made this dress for me!"

She pointed at her stained outfit.

"I see, and you've covered it in mud?"

"It's not a picnic to get to here from the castle Louis."

"Yet you do it so often?"

"As you said yourself Lou, I too am looking for some excitement. This is the part of my day I look forward to. I mean, I'm not always sitting here waiting. Sometimes I come here and sit. It's a happy place because when I am here it reminds me of all the times I have sat here and saw Lance riding up the hill. To come home."

"I understand. My happy place is on top of the barn where I work. I can see all the fields from up there. And my house. With my two little siblings pushing eachother into mud puddles."

"They sound fun."

"That's one way to describe them." I laugh.

*off in the distance* "LEWIS"

"Oh no! It's mr gillers! I have to go!"

"Ok bye."she said too quickly.

"Wait! Can't I see you again?!"

"I don't know. Maybe. I AM royalty after all. My schedule is busy." She winked at me.

I smiled back

"I understand. Goodbye then Princess June"

"Goodbye sir Louis" She soluted me off.

And I walked away
