3rd chapter: meeting her

Jacobs P.O.V.


She turned around and screamed something, but I couldn't hear because she was inside.


She started walking towards me while saying one word, it looked like she said, "woah" or something like that.


She started talking as she was walking towards the door, her bare feet padding against the white tile.


"Cole?" I asked

"Yeah!" He exclaimed

"Why isn't she scared of us?" I questioned

"I don't know, man." He said

"We'll I'm not complaining." I replied happily


I watched as she gracefully sat down in a chair and watched me.


I just sat down waiting to see if she would come outside or not.


After about 15-20 minutes she cautiously got up and walked to the door, she put her hand on the handle of the door.


She then slowly slid open the door, as if to see if I would run away like a wild animal.


I looked up just as she stepped out of the doorway and I saw the most beautiful creature on the face of the earth.


As soon as I looked into those bright blue eyes of hers cole said one word,


"MATE!"


I soon got lost in her beautiful blue eyes, when I finally broke out of my daze I started taking in every feature of her.


Her beautiful blue eyes, her golden wavy hair, her gorgeous body standing around 5ft 5in tall..... And she's all mine.

"Wait a minute, she"s human" I said to cole

"And?" He asked

"What will dad think?" I thought to him

"I don't know Jake." He answered

"We'll we need to tell dad when we get back home" I said

"Dude we found our mate does it really matter if she is human or not?!" He exclaimed

"No! She could be a worm and I would still love her!" I exclaimed

"Good! And really, a worm, that's what you're going with?" He questioned

"Just shut up so we can enjoy this time with our mate!" I yelled at cole

"Gladly." He stated



She started walking up to me,


"Lay down Jacob" cole said

"Why?"I asked

"Because you will look friendlier and harmless." He said

"That won't work cole" I said to him

"Do you want to scare our mate?"he questioned harshly

"No!" I snapped

"Then listen to me for once!" He yelled

"Fine" I huffed in defeat


I laid down like I was told, and what-do-ya-know she walks up to me and kneels down beside me and starts running her delicate hands through my jet black fur.



"We'll aren't you a handsome little wolfie?!" She cooed


Cole started purring in my head


I sat up and wagged my tail so maybe show that I'm not harmful.


She slowly lifted her hand and started to reach under my neck.


She flipped over my collar, which would be a necklace in human form.


"We'll well well, what kind of person owns a wolf?... A giant one at that?" The asked herself


I felt her flip over the necklace,


"Jake" she read


Hearing and seeing her read my nickname and it rolling perfectly of her tongue and between those plump lips of hers made cole purr in excitement.


"Cole calm down!" I said to him

"Sorry." He said


I can't deny that I also perked up a little more when she said it.


Apparently she saw that I had perked up because she said,"Jake, is that your name?"


I started happily wagging my tail, to show my answer.


"We'll Jake, how about I call you J.J.?" She questioned me


Some how cole took over a little and we started prancing around like we were some kind of circus animal.


"Seriously cole?... Prancing?" I said

"What? I'm happy!" He announced innocently

"We'll can you be happy in the back of my head and give me full control?" I snapped impatiently

"Sorry, no can do!" He exclaimed happily

"And why not?!" I snapped getting frustrated

"Because I don't want to!" He said

"Ugh! Fine whatever!" I said, knowing it was useless arguing


"You like that nickname boy?!" She asked


I could tell cole was still partially in control because he started making us jump around in circles.


"Is it just me or does she seem to relax more every time we act more dog like?" I asked cole

"Yeah it does seem that way doesn't it." He stated

"Should we take that as an insult?" I asked sort of offended

"I don't think so man, because she is relaxed around us. Would you rather our mate be scared of us if we acted more wolf like, or relaxed the more dog like we act?" He questioned

"Okay so, acting like a dog it is!"I answered him


"How about you can be my little secret?" She asked us


We loved the fact that our mate wanted us to be her little secret.


I smiled at her, which apparently looked like a weird grin because she started laughing.


Cole started purring again.



"Seriously cole you have got to stop doing that!" I yelled at him

"Sorry I can't help it, even her laugh is beautiful!" He hummed



"Ha ha, I like that idea to JJ" she laughed



"I have to get back to unpacking the stupid boxes, so how about you come back tomorrow and we can hang out and go for a walk and stuff? Okay JJ?" She asked


I jumped in excitement, she actually wanted to see us again.


"I'll take that as a yes! Don't forget okay boy. I'll be waiting!" She said like she was reminding a 4 year old



"Bye JJ, see you tomorrow" She said going back inside



We are DEFINITELY going to be here tomorrow, I thought to myself.


"WAIT!" Cole yelled in my head

"What?" I snapped back

"She didn't tell us her name!" He exclaimed

"Don't worry we'll get it soon, they're our new neighbors remember?" I said obviously

"Yeah, so?"he asked

"Ugh, you never remember anything! Tonight dad is inviting them over for dinner so we can meet them!" I stated

"Oh yeah!" He said finally remembering

"So we can get her name then, but right now we need to get back to the house so no one starts to worry!" I said to him
