"What happened?" Soekjin inquired gently.

Hosoek was seated on the couch beside Soekjin, his shoulders were slumped and his expression was troubled.

"Umm, one day Taehyung came back from work and he said that..." Hosoek frowned. "...the boy he observed and spoke to a few times joined GreatHits."

Soekjin looked mildly surprised. "Wow."

"I know." Said Hosoek. "He's been hanging out with him these past few days. Apparently his name is Park Jimin and he's the same age as Taehyung. He's also a singer."

"Do you really think he likes him?"

"I..." Hosoek sighed heavily. "...yeah." His downcast eyes were filled with sadness.

"Why?"

"He just... I know Taehyung and he seems very interested in him. He talks about him a lot and even said that he's, I quote, unbelievably cute"

Soekjin bit his lip. "I'm sorry Hosoek-ah..." he said softly.

"If he's so good at noticing things why can't he notice me?" Hosoek whispered.

"He does notice you. He cares about you a lot."

"Yes." Soekjin watched as a tear hit the floor, splashing slightly smaller droplets around it. "I know that, but... he'll only ever see me as a friend."

Soekjin grabbed a tissue from the box that was placed on the table beside the couch they chatted on, handing it to Hosoek slowly. He didn't know what to say and Hosoek's sadness caused a slight lump in his throat. It was odd for Hosoek to be anything other than energetic and happy, but he was human and he needed to have moments of weakness and to be comforted. Right now he was pressing the tissue to his eyes as if it would absorb all the tears his body could produce.

"I just wish..." He sniffed and let out a shaky breath, "wish I'd been brave enough to just... tell him. Now it's too late."

Soekjin placed a comforting arm around Hosoek's shoulders. "It's said that the strongest test of love is letting go. Besides, you're a great guy, you'll definitely find someone."

"Hyung..." Hosoek sounded defeated and more tears joined the first few on the floor. "It hurts so much." The droplets on the floor were joining together, creating a small puddle.

Soekjin's heart went out to his friend. After giving him some time he spoke. "You'll get through it - you're a strong person. If you ever need to talk about anything, you know I'm here."

Hosoek shuddered before looking straight at his friend. He smiled slightly. "Thanks."

"Any time."

Hosoek let out a shaky breath. He looked significantly better than when he'd shown up on the doorstep. Someone who knew him could tell he'd been crying by the look of his face.

Soekjin spoke again, "I think you should at least stay here for a cup of coffee."

"I look terrible don't I?"

"You could look better."

Hosoek laughed and Soekjin smiled.

When Hosoek was at the bathroom, composing himself and washing his face like Soekjin had told him to, Soekjin took the opportunity to get tissues and wipe Hosoek's tears off the floor. He hoped that his friend would be able to do what he had to.
