Alan woke up from the black out to find Relwer sitting next to him.

'Why do you always only help when I am an inch from death?' he asked.

'The more concerning question is, time and again, why you keep having near death experiences,' said Relwer. 'This time, I was almost certain that you would not survive. But you have. I am most impressed.'

'So you found me?' asked Alan.

'Yes, I found you at the edge of Guroth. You looked positively ghastly,' said Relwer.

'What, how? I remember passing out right there, right at the spot,' said Alan.

Alan was confused. This was the third time a series of events had allowed Relwer to nurse him.

'You still need rest, lots of rest. I will bring more ointment. Whatever you did worked. The beast was found in deep sleep. The comrade is alarmed. He will be making contact with us soon. I am sure of it. You need to recover,' said Relwer.

Alan nodded.

'I am frightened to think of the abilities you possess, so formidable that you defeated Rayon,' said Relwer as he was on his way out.

Alan smiled uncomfortably, subdued.

The comrade was outside and Relwer ran into him as he walked out to get some ointment. He looked scared. The comrade was with Neilodrons. He peeked through some branches. Like a shot, the comrade caught a quick glimpse of him. Relwer pulled back and hid behind a tree. He remained hidden for a while. He looked back to see that the comrade was no longer there. He looked on for a while longer to be sure that he was gone. He started drawing away, slowly. He turned around and went some way, when the comrade encountered him, out of the blue, and blocked his way.

'Officer Relwer,' said the comrade.

'Comrade Gardon,' said Relwer.

'What might you be doing here, in this Neilodron infested quarter?' asked the Comrade.

'I could ask you the same,' said Relwer.

'I have come to restore the families and to put a stop to your schemes,' said the comrade.

'My schemes?' Relwer enquired.

'Yes, do you think I have not learned that you help that creature, the one who calls himself the chosen one?' asked the comrade. 'My spy told me. He saw you both together as you went into a forest from Skith.'

'I know your plans for the Earth, Gardon,' said Relwer. 'He is going to stop you and I am going to help him.'

'A valiant effort, but in vain. You cannot help him. You will be too busy worrying about your own death,' said the comrade.

Before Relwer could say anything, a swarm of Neilodrons came in from behind the trees and nabbed him. Relwer knew now that the comrade was the man on the inside, the reason why they were able to take Guroth. He knew now that the Neilodron that had let the comrade slip by, unnoticed was telling the truth when he said he saw no intruder. The comrade was not an intruder. He was one of them.

'My dear Neilodrons, make sure Relwer gets the treatment he deserves,' said the comrade as they took him away.

The comrade then took his Neilodrons with him to confront Alan.

He arrived at the scene. Some Neilodrons opposed him.

'We guard the chosen one,' said one of them.
