In Timberwood the Lakeriver pack lives along side humans and their brethren the wolves. Some have even chosen to remain in their wolf forms casting aside their human side.
Kane is one of the werewolves who change between being human and wolf. He lives a peaceful life in Timerwoods waiting for the day he is able to meet his mate. Until then his best friends Kassy, a human, and Matthew, a were who has chosen to stay in wolf form, live their lives peacefully.
Then one day a band of hunters, called the Cross Alliance, come hunting the were's. But they are tracking them and killing them using werewolves that they'd captured. One of the were's named Jade seems to be Kane's mate. To the hunters he is their best tacker.
But is the damage done to Jade too deep for Kane to undo?
