July 1st
My friends call me Naomi. I live on my own with my two kids, Jonathon and Amie. They mean everything to me and if I don't get the money to pay rent soon, all three of us will be out on the streets, starving. Jonathon is in 2nd grade, Amie in Kindergarten. Everyone makes fun of them in school, saying "Ha, your poor, I have more!" they come home crying, everytime they tell me they are being bullied, I break down, every wall broken. I cry and cry and cry, not getting any sleep. Recently, I just found a newspaper article, stating that whoever finds a new species, and writes a whole report on it, and gets it approved, will win 50 million dollars! I want to be first, I want to win, I NEED to win, my kids and I, will live a good life, not eating stale bread and ramen noodles. My kids are begging me to get something everytime we go to the store, whether its a toy, sweets, or food. I always tell them, we can't afford it, which i'm not lying to them, we don't have the money to buy the stuff, I don't even have money to pay rent. So, I'm going to try and win this money for US, it's not for me. Tomorrow I will sign up for the contest.
