Carey watched as the wedding guests whirled past her on the dance floor. She craned her neck to see if there was anyone she could talk to. It was proving to be difficult to recognize anyone in costume. "Hey pretty momma. How about a dance." Carey turned to see Elvis standing behind her. His dark hair was combed into a high, Johnny-bravo style with long sideburns and large fighter-pilot, dark sunglasses. He was wearing a white, rhinestone-studded jumpsuit complete with the cape. Carey couldn't help but laugh.

"Sure." She replied. He held out his hand for her. She took it in hers and followed him to the dance floor.

"Great party." He started as they glided across the floor.

"Yeah, I don't know many people here. In fact, I'm not sure if I even know you! Who are you?"

Elvis laughed and twirled her around. "You may not be old enough to remember me. I had some popular songs a while back, did a few movies..." He said in a bad Tennessee accent.

Carey giggled. "I know who Elvis is. Who are you? That is a great costume."

"Well thank ya, thank ya very much." He drawled. "What's a princess like you doing without a date? Was Han Solo busy?"

"I guess you could say that." Carey replied.

"Aw, don't look so sad, pretty momma. Let Elvis be your teddy bear." Carey rolled her eyes at the cheeziness of the whole situation. Was this guy for real? The music ended, Carey thanked Elvis for the dance and waited for him to let go of her waist. When he made no move to let her go, she frowned and raised her eyes to meet his. He slid his sunglasses off his nose slightly and winked at her. Carey eyes grew wide as did her smile.

"Josh!" She hugged him and in the process, managed to snag her princess Leia braided hair earmuffs on his rhinestones. Laughing, they pulled themselves apart. "I can't believe you are here! How did you know to get here? Where did you get a costume?"

"You showed me the invitation so I knew the address. You also told me you got your costume on fourteenth street. This is the best one I could get on such short notice."

"It looks really good. I think the sideburns really work for you." Carey giggled. "I thought you got called to work."

"I did but I managed to put it on hold for a bit." Josh lied.

"I'm glad." Carey replied and nuzzled up closer to him and swayed to the slow music that filled the room.

"Me too." He murmured into her hair. Three songs later, the DJ decided to play faster songs. Neither Carey nor Josh wanted to stop slow dancing in each other's arms. "Let's get out of here, Carey. Let's go somewhere that we can be together." Carey nodded and followed him off the dance floor. "Where do you want to go?" Josh asked when they got outside. Carey stopped walking beside him and turned to face him. Her eyes shone of vulnerability and trust.

"Come home with me, Josh. I don't want to go back their alone." She pleaded. Josh cupped her cheek in his hand and lifted her chin towards his face. She could see his emotions raging within.

"Are you sure?" He whispered. Carey stood on her toes to close the space between their lips. She slid her arm around his neck, pulled him closer and deepened the pressure of the kiss. She didn't need to say anything to him. This was reply enough.

Good morning! It's another wet day out there this Sunday morning in the rain. In a few minutes we'll have Harry Hollywood in the studio with all the latest gossip from tinsel town. It seems that Nsync member, JC Chasez, has been disappearing from time to time. Jennifer Lopez and Sean Puffy Combs have split. More on that later when Harry Hollywood is in but first we've got 'Would I Lie To You" by the Eurythmics.

Carey groaned, rolled across the bed and punched the alarm clock. Running her arm down the cool, cotton sheets, she felt something crinkle and scratch her bare arm. She sat up in the bed and picked up a piece of paper.

Dear Princess Leia,

I'm sorry I had to leave before you woke. You looked so beautiful in your sleep, I didn't have the heart to wake you to say good bye. I couldn't make work wait for me any longer.

I promise I'll call you tonight.

Elvis

P.S. Don't tell Han Solo that I was here.

Carey smiled to herself and folded the note. Her feet didn't touch the ground as she made her way to the shower.
