'The Death Of A Cadet'

Your POV

"There, you got it, Y/n!" Armin shouted at you as you swung through the trees effortlessly with your 3DMG. You whooped in happiness, putting your arms up. "Whoohoo!!!" you yelled ardently. Armin smiled, as you landed next to him, panting. "Phew, that was a good run!" you smiled at him. A scarlet color splashed up onto his cheeks, and he scratched the back of his neck. "Y-You're improving really well. I'm p-proud of you," he looked away, cheeks unbelievably red. You giggled, raising an arm and messing up his hair eagerly. "I'll be out there fighting Titans like a pro in no time!" you laughed boisterously, and hotheadedly. Armin smiled, worry creeping up onto his face. "Y-Yeah.." he whispered his agreement, looking at the ground.

~Days Later in Wall Rosa~

"Ha! What worthless Titans," Eren spat, peering down at the filthy creatures attempting to climb up the high wall from the outside. His members laughed, and so did you. "They might as well give up," you giggled. "They're not even trying!" you continued laughing. Eren swung his arm around your shoulder, laughing. Armin was watching, and he sighed disappointed. Just then, you heard a loud crashing sound, and a zap before your eyes. The colossal Titan had appeared. All went silent, as everyone stared at the gigantic, and tremendous creature. You froze, heart pounding. Armin took a step back in alarm, but remained still, staring up in awe, and fear. "Stay still," Eren whispered. You nodded curtly, eyeballing the Titan. Of course, what it only does when it's here, it kicked a fucking hole in the wall. How nice.. "Is that all you can do Titan! Just kick holes in walls!?" you muttered, glaring at it. You heard screaming, and thunderous footsteps behind you. You gasped, making your way to the inner side of the wall, looking over the side to see Titans tormenting people, occasionally eating some.. You cringed, covering your mouth with your hands. You clenched your fists, and you ran forward, shooting your grapples to the nearest building. "Y/n!" Armin yelled after you, trying to grab your jacket sleeve, but to his avail you had already zipped away. This may be random, but you and Eren were so similar, you might as well be brother and sister. You hated the titans as much as he did, you wanted to destroy every last one, and both your families are dead. (We still dont know if his dad is alive, but just pretend ouo) But, alas you cant shift into a titan, which would be super awesome if you could. "Y/n!!" Armin went after you, zooming by your side. "It's dangerous to go alone!" he scolded you. Your nostrils flared, too much in the zone to kill some titans to listen. He grabbed your waist, and held you tightly at his side, leaving you unable to grapple a hook anywhere. Just then, you looked up to see a Titan squatting on a rooftop, as you and Armin neared it. "An abnormal type?!" you yelled, the Titan flinging itself at you. Armin grunted as he grappled a hook upwards and swung out of the way, just in time for the Titan to smash its face into the concrete tower you had just passed. Armin landed on a roof with a wince, you hanging on the gutter. You and your squad stared at the Titan clinging onto the tower, tilting its head to the side to reveal a squad member lodged in its mouth. It was Thomas. Before he could scream or say anything, the Titan rose its head, and swallowed him whole. As if nothing happened, the Titan let go of the tower, and began walking away, seeking its next victim. Your nostrils flared once more, your anger boiling over. "Where do you think you're going?!" you yelled at the Titan, going after it. "Y/n!" Armin yelled. "Don't run off on your own!" a squad member countered. One by one, your squad ran after you on the rooftops. "Wait, damn you!" you screamed at the Titan. "How dare you kill Thomas!" you cried. "I'm not.. I'm not going to let you get away with that!" you screeched after it, tears rolling down your cheeks. You let out a scream as you rounded the last corner, and before you could slice Thomas' killer's nape, a Titan jumped up, and tried eating you from the ground. It had bit your leg off! You screamed, as you rolled on the roof tops, the shingles flying everywhere. Armin landed nearby. "Y/n!" he screamed. As the rest of your squad tried to get near, they too were ensnared in the Titan's traps, and were all killed effortlessly..

Armin's POV

I watched as all my squadmates screamed  for help. I saw Y/n's limp, and bloody body sprawled out on the roof across from me. Her left arm dangling off the side, her left leg gone. "Why am I.. just watching my squadmates get devoured?" I said to myself, horror in my eyes. I heard the terrible sound, of thunderous footsteps from behind, my eyes flickering to the left to see a Titan with a beard. (Damn you santa Titan) It grabbed me by my jacket, and I froze, staring down into it's mouth and gullet. "Why cant I move?" I whispered, as the Titan opened its mouth. Before I could realize what was going on, I was dropped into it's mouth, sliding down it's slippery tongue my hands unable to grab anything. I screamed in terror, darkness engulfing me.

Your POV

"Ar-Armin.." you mumbled, staring blankly into space. (skips the flashback she has with Armin ouo) When you remembered what Armin said about the outside world. That drove you to keep pushing. You opened your eyes, and rose your head, eyes flashing with resentment and fury. As you heard Armin's screams intensifying, you (somehow) managed to get to the Titan's mouth, and grabbed Armin's hand. You pulled him out with a few struggles, and threw him onto the rooftop, the shingles flying, leaving you to keep the Titan's mouth open with your hands. "Y/n!" Armin screamed. "We can't die here," you said. "Can we, Armin?" you rose your head. "You were the one who told me about it," you outstretched your arm. "That's why I want to go outside," you continued. You saw Armin close his eyes, tears rolling down his cheeks. "Y/n!!" he screamed, crawling forward to grab your hand. "Hurry up--!" it was too late, the Titan had clamped its mouth closed, and your arm was severed off, swallowing you whole.

Armin's POV

I saw Y/n get swallowed before my eyes.. My eyes widened, and I let out a blood curdling scream. Tears streamed down my face.

~About 20 minutes later~

"We found Armin, he's over there," I heard Reiner say. Who was he talking to..? I was sitting against a concrete tower with windows behind me, staring at my lap. "Armin!" I heard Mikasa. I gasped. Mikasa.. I cant, how do I tell her what happened to Y/n? I survived, and she's nothing.. I'm so useless! I wish I would have died with her instead.. "Armin," Mikasa knelt down before me. "Are you okay? You're not hurt are you?" I didn't respond, I just kept my head down. She grunted, standing up. "Where's Y/n?" she asked, looking around. I couldn't take it anymore.. "Armin?" she asked again. I was crying, as I looked up at her. "They were.. The cadets of squad 34.. Thomas Wagner.. Nac Tius.. Mylius Zeramuski.. Mina Carolina.. And Y/n L/n.. These brave five, upheld their duties, and they died valiantly on the field of battle.." I sobbed.

Mikasa's POV

Y/n is dead.. My beloved sister. I couldn't believe it... These fucking Titans, will pay.

~Later..~

I went up to Armin, who was sulking at the lunch table. He hasn't eaten in days, and I'm starting to get worried. I sat beside him. "Armin, please eat," I pleaded, stroking his shoulder. He was staring blankly at the table, a distant look in his blue eyes. I sighed, lowering my gaze sadly. "You miss her, don't you?" I asked him. He didn't respond for a while, then he rose his head, and looked me dead in the eyes, tears rolling down his face. "I loved her!" he cried. My eyes widenened, taken aback. He started to cry again, and lay his head on his arms on the table. I feel so bad for him.. My sister, and his first love, dead. Just like that. Gone from this world.. Forever.
