As stated above this is another story idea.

Avalon Welding has gone her entire life not knowing her true father, being told only that she was better off not knowing who he is. When the chance to get to know her father, Captain Balthazar Welding, arises, how can she not take the chance.

Captain Balthazar has gone twenty years  without the knowledge of his one and only child and his Heir in all things. When he meets her, he expects a simpering, snobbish, high-society girl. What he gets instead is Avalon, fiercely loyal, down to earth, and   unconcerned about societal norms. Balthazar finds in his daughter a true piratical Princess. After all, she is her father's daughter.

Throw in an attractive first mate, a dangerous inheritance, and a Royal Naval officer who wants to put an end to a legacy generations in the making and you have a story of a heroine coming into her own and a family reunion like no other. Will their bond be strong enough to keep them going or will the Royal Navy final put an end to the Reign of Pirates?

**SAMPLE......AGAIN, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK***

I walked down the cobbled street with my cloak drawn tightly about me as I kept one hand on my sword that was belted to my waist. The trousers I wore were all black and snug on me as was the shirt I wore. I couldn't risk my mother finding me before I had even had a chance to meet the famed Captain Balthazar Welding, terror of the seven seas and my father, for the first time. I quickened my pace to the docks and searched for the ship he owned, The Trident, which was rumored to be the fastest ship in the world. Growing up in a pirate town, one picked up a few things like how superstitious pirates really were and because of that, I knew I would not be allowed on the deck without my hood up. I searched for another ten minutes before finally finding the ship.

The ship was a gorgeous four deck affair with a balcony that led into the Captain's cabin. The railing around the deck was freshly polished and looked good as new. There looked to be thirty-six guns on the side I could see and I was willing to bet that the other side held just as many. I made my way up the precarious plank of wood that was the only thing separating me from the magnificent ship in front of me. Looking down at the water below me, I took a deep breath and reassured myself that I would be fine since my mother taught me to swim. That was one of the first things she did when she saw I had a love for water. I had almost made it to the top when I was bumped over the side by a big, burly man who was carrying a huge stack of flour sacks. The stack covered his face so it was no surprise that he knocked into me. The surprise came when I hit the freezing water of the Atlantic Ocean. Even this far south, the cold and drowning killed more than a few sailors. A rescue attempt for a sailor always took too long so the thought was just to leave them in the water, harsh but a swifter death. Disease was not appreciated onboard a ship since it spread quickly in the enclosed spaces. Regardless, I wasn't about to feed the fish as they say so I swam back to the dock and pulled myself up and making sure both my grandfather's sword and the only thing my father had left for me were still on my person. The sword was easily verified since it had been its' weight that had made it so hard to get to the dock. The other was a little harder.

A/N: Not sure yet if this one will have a happy ending or not. May just kill off all the important characters and say fuck it. Depends on my mood really. Also check out the picture above.....made me chuckle.
