Draco pushed off of Harry and sat up, his face burning. Harry was stuck where he was; it was like he was glued to the bed. Pansy took a few careful steps towards them, shutting the door behind her. Disbelief was still plastered on her face. Harry heard Draco groan in annoyance, watching as he rolled off the bed and bee-lined straight to the girl.

"Pansy," Draco said breathlessly, making his way up to her. Pansy eyed him, then looked back at Harry. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"I-I wanted to see you," Pansy said quietly, eyes wide. "I didn't know you would be snogging Potter!" Draco glanced over his shoulder at Harry, who was still lying on his back; his eyes were closed. He looked back at Pansy.

"Why don't you ever knock?" he sneered. Pansy shook her head and looked down at her feet. Draco glanced back at Harry once more before gripping Pansy's elbow and dragging her into the hall. After making sure there was no one around, Draco said: "Pansy, you can't tell anyone what you just saw-"

"Why would I?" Pansy asked, interrupting him. "You're doing your job. I just didn't expect you two to go second base or something-"

"Pansy!" he hushed her, feeling a blush creeping up his neck. Pansy scoffed.

"You're doing this to distract him, aren't you?" she asked, suddenly turning serious. Draco pursed his lips.

"Well, yes-"

"Because I know how you feel about him." Draco crossed his arms across his chest.

"Don't think that I forgot about the vow, Pansy. Both of our lives are on the line," he explained quietly.

"You're willing to sacrifice Potter?" Draco swallowed and looked away. Pansy bit her lip. "Well... get back to it, then." And with that, she pivoted and made her away down the dimly lit hall.

Harry backed away from the door as he heard Pansy walk away, expecting Draco to come back in. He hurried over to the bed and threw himself into the blankets, his heart thumping. He watched as the door opened and Draco stepped inside. He stood where he was, looking at Harry from across the room. Harry was looking at him with wide eyes.

"Don't think I forgot about the vow... Both of our lives are on the line..."

"You're willing to sacrifice Potter?"

"Harry, I'm sorry about Pansy," Draco said, slowly making his way over. "She promised to not tell anyone. You can trust her." But can I trust you? Harry thought.

"Okay," he muttered, still eyeing Draco cautiously. Draco reached the bed and sat on the edge.

"Don't worry," he gave Harry a small smile. Harry was sure he looked relaxed on the outside, but on the inside was a different story. His head was pounding, his heart thumping. He had butterflies in his stomach. He suddenly didn't feel comfortable, and glanced over to Draco's wardrobe where his bags were. Draco followed his gaze. "Is something wrong?" Harry opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. He slipped off of the bed in silence and hastily made his way over. He opened the door and dug for his things. Once he found the straps, he wrapped them securely around him and turned around. Draco was scowling. "Harry... what are you doing?" Harry ignored him, grabbing his cloak from the desk chair.

"I-I have to go," he mumbled, not looking at him.

"What did I do?" Draco asked feverishly. Harry shook his head, his eyes focused on the blank wall in front of him.

"I don't want your life on a line, not if it involves me," he said, looking back at Draco. The Slytherin paled, his mouth opening but failing to speak.
