Anna saw the beautiful blue sky; she saw the fluffy white clouds in strange shapes, and she saw the bright yellow sun. Excitement flooded her body almost making her sick with happiness. She bounced on her bare feet and threw her cane away. However as soon as her fingers let go of the cane her eyesight flickered and the sky grew dark and rain pelted her helmet. She clung to her mothers waist terrified of what was about to happen. Squeezing her eyes shut did nothing she could still see it behind her eye lids. The car in front of them slammed on their brakes as a giant truck barreled into the car and then into the motorcycle. The force made Anna let go of her mother and she went flying across the road her head bashed against the guard rail shattering the visor of her helmet. Anna was able to see her mother a little ways away her body twisted in odd angles. The blood at her mothers throat glistened from the sick yellow of the headlights from the truck. She choked on something thick and warm as she tried to scream for her mother. Her eyes burned from smoke, tears and frustration.

She sat up panting as she tried to untangle the sweat soaked blanket, she fell to the floor in a heap kicking her legs she had to get that blanket away from her. Crying softly she forced herself to slow down and untangle the blanket. She didn't want to wake her roommate but she probably had screamed at some point. She just had to get to the bathroom then everything would be fine. As soon as her legs were clear of the blanket she stood on shaky legs and sprinted for the bathroom just out side of her room. She clipped her shoulder on the way out the door and then slammed her hip against the bathroom door frame. She fumbled for the bath turning the water as cold as it could go without the water being off. Pushing the stopper down she waited counting to 230 before losing count. It took what felt like an hour for the tub to fill up. Anna's breathing was still a little to ragged for her liking. As soon as the water was off she practically dove into the water; clothes and all. The icy water was a beautiful shock to her systems cooling her heated skin immediately. Once her breathing leveled out she began the struggle of taking off the huge old t-shirt that was like a dress for her small 5'3/4" frame.
She didn't know how long she'd stayed in the tub or when she got out. All she knew was she was waking up in her bed a towel wrapped tightly around her body and the bright hot sun warming her skin.
