"Thank you Problem Sleuth! I don't know what I would of done without your help..." Hysterical Dame thanked. Problem Sleuth sat back in his large chair and kicked his feet up on his desk, "Don't mention it sweetheart." He said coolly. H.D. cooed softly,"How can I ever repay you?" He took a swig of whisky from his flask and looked at her, "No need to thank me cupcake, but a bag of candy corn would be nice..." Hysterical Dame smiled brightly, "A bag of candy corn? Consider it done!" The woman then kissed his cheek as a final thank you and went on her merry way.
Problem Sleuth chuckled smugly and took another swig from his silver flask, "You did good P.S., you did real good... Maybe Hysterical Dame will tell all her lady friends about this and then I'LL be the one getting all the women from now on. Ace Dick will have to find some other clients..." The detective laughed, he and Ace Dick were friends now, but that didn't stop him from giving him a hard time and Pickle Inspector seemed to enjoy helping them pull pranks on each other. "Just friendly horsing around" as they put it.
A knock sounded at the door, it was Ace Dick and Pickle Inspector. "Ay, P.S., sounds like things went pretty well eh?" Ace Dick laughed. Problem Sleuth chuckled and lit a cigarette, "Things went very well boys... And get this, she's paying me in candy corn!" Pickle Inspector smiled, "You'll have extra for your candy corn vampire costume..." Problem sleuth chuckled, "I'll have enough to make hundreds of candy corn vampire costumes!" "You think my next client will pay me in gummy worms?" Ace Dick joked. "Only if you have a client as great and pretty as mine!" Problem Sleuth smirked. "Pretty huh? Does P.S. got a wondering eye for the fair Hysterical Dame?" Ace Dick joked, taking a swig of brandy.
"Aw shut up Ace, she's just a client. Who just happens to be hot..." The hard boiled detective defended. A light dust of pink spreading across his cheeks. "Besides, she'd never love a guy like me. Not in a million years..."
