Summary | Chas regenerates for the first time and his father comes to explain the process to him. Then we go to have a family meal on the moon which leads to disaster much to some people's likings.

#5 | Of Family & Time Lords

"Well, I'm going with you." Is Lilac's reaction when Chastity shows her an anonymous note. It says they need help in Victorian Britain and he is their man.

"The note clearly states I must go along," he tells her with the best firm expression on his face he can muster. You see, he isn't very good at being stern. Julian takes the note from his sister, frowning.

"But alone though? That sounds awfully suspicious to me." He turns the note in his hands trying to figure it out. Julian then frowns as he spots something. "Whose Madam Vestra; a girlfriend?"

"No," Chastity draws out the 'o' like a child. "This woman doesn't exactly date people of the male species. She prefers women." That sentence sounds odd to him, even as he says it. He hasn't met Madam Vestra before but his parents has. His mother used to say that Stryx (Madam Vestra's henchman) called her a boy. Now, only Chastity's brother laughed as it didn't seem very interesting to him. The Time Lord hopes that this Stryx isn't there when he goes.

"C'mon, Chas, at least let Leon and I go with you." Julian whines, bringing the latter out of his day dream. He knows he should take up their offer. He really does but he can't.

"Jenny and Madam Vestra are old friends of Mum and Dad so I must trust them." That's right, he thinks. River has mentioned the alien and thief several times during his childhood. Julian gives his sister a sympathic look before glancing over to Chastity.

"If you're sure." Julian then hands the Time Lord a mobile phone. Its something that Chastity rarely uses but he thinks it may come in handy. "But you'll call me if anything goes wrong." Julian is serious when it comes to these things. Luckily for them, his parents allow them use of their time machine 'just in case'. Only Chastity refuses to use it. "Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes, Dad." The Time Lord grins, sliding the phone into his pocket. That's what it feels like with Julian. He's the overbearing parent or older brother just wish you can't have. It is rather annoying.

"Dad?" Julian snorts, looking to Chastity with a frown. He shakes his head. "Can't I worry without the cheek given in return?" The male sounds serious which makes Chastity frown. Maybe he shouldn't be cheeky next time?

"Right, I'll call you if I need to." The Time Lord checks the clock on the wall. He is due to leave. "So, whose phone is this?"

"Mine; I've got plenty of them though." Chastity goes 'ah' before saying his goodbyes and disappearing almost immediately after. Julian grins sadly.
