It was late,around 2:40am, Reina was sleeping peacefully when she was lightly stirred awake by the loud crunching of leaves below. She quietly peered below her to see where or what the noise was coming from. But All that could be seen was the ground with leaves that were mildly disturbed, but Reina was sure that she had herd something. Soon enough, she settled down laying against the trunk of the tree getting herself as comfortable as she could on the brach she was sleeping on.
She could feel herself falling back to sleep. Well that was before she herd the shuffling of something. Reina kept her eyes closed fearing the worst.
She sat in silence waiting for something. Nothing happened. She started to relax, but then felt a hand cover her mouth and a cold blade on her neck, reina opened her eyes and recognized the voice.
"Miss me?"
Reina moved his had from her mouth.
"Hi guy that stained my carpet".
Jeff looked at her with a bland expression, as if he were wanting a different reaction. Reina noticed.
" what?". She asked.
"... Nothing...". He looked away kinda peeved.
" I assume that you wanted me to be scared or scream right?"
" Yes, better question.why are you sleeping at the top of a tree in the middle of the Woods?" Jeff sat on a branch playing with his pocket knife.
" well, that's a long story....... actually to sum it up I was kidnapped by three men and I didn't want to spend the night with them in a cabin. So now I'm here."
she shrugged her shoulders.
"Oh... That sounds...."
"Yeah.... Really suggestive." Reina looked over to Jeff with a bland expression.
" okay... Well another question. Do you have a problem with showing emotion? does this situation Scare you at all?" Jeff squinted his eyes in confusion.
" no I show emotion. But I try to think of the situation calmly before I start panicking. And I feel like being scared of something doesn't really help the situation." Reina grabbed her backpack and pulled up to the front of her. Unzipping the top and pulling out some water bottles, she handed one to Jeff."
" Mmmm..... you do know that I kill people right?" Jeff kindly took the bottle of water.
" yeah, and your point is? Many people kill. For different reasons maybe, but they still do it. It's not going to make a difference and it happens a lot, you're not special." Reina Opened her bottle of water taking small sips.
"..........well damn" Jeff opened his bottle of water and chugged it.
I'll sitting on the tree branches and enjoying lukewarm water. The door from the cabin opened. Toby proceeded to walk out looking at the tree line.
Jeff, sunk back into the branches and heavy foliage of the tree. Almost becoming invisible with the Darkness around him being his cover. Toby walked closer to the tree that Reina was in and looked up to meet eye's with her looking down at him.
"Need something sir?" Reina smiled with half lidded eyes.
"........so you are awake..." Toby turned around and started walking back to the cabin.
" is that a problem?" She raised her voice.
"....." Toby proceeded to say nothing walking back into the cabin and coming out shortly after with a large fire axe.
"........oooook...." Reina put down her bottle of water. She looked over to Jeff gesturing for him to leave or try stay quiet.
Toby walked towards a large tree stump in the front yard of the cabin. The stump had a small stack of already chopped firewood. He sat down the axe and looked for more firewood to cut up.
Reina and Jeff sat quietly in the tree watching him gather Lumber.
" ...... I'm assuming that you're out here because you can't sleep?" She asked to break the silence.
"No.... I'm m-making sure you don't do anything s-stupid, like leaving." He grab the fire axe and started to chop firewood.
"...whaaaat?...heh... I would never" Reina said in a joking tone.
Toby stopped working and looked at Reina. He started walking closer to the tree she was in.
"Come here. A-and before you say anything it w-wasn't a question." Toby stopped at the base of the tree looking up at Reina.
".......sure thing..." Reina stood up on the tree branch.
Jeff proceeded to watch her seamlessly climb her way down and stand in front of Toby unnerved.
Toby leaned in closer to Reina and looked at her face.
" ummmm yes? Can I help you?" She took a step back.
Toby stood up strait popping his back in the process.
" c-come over here" he turned around and walked to where the axe was.
"..... you're gonna have me cut fire wood aren't you?" She said with a bored expression.
" no" Toby picked up the axe, slinging it over shoulder.
" oh..." Reina raised an eyebrow.
"P-pick up some f-firewood and t-take it inside t-the cabin." He ordered
" ugh...... you know a please and thank you would be nice ever so often." Reina grab the firewood and started walking to the cabin.
"Thanks." Toby followed behind her.
Reina stop at the doorway of the cabin holding all of the firewood in her hands. Feeling Toby push her inside of the cabin as soon as she stopped walking. She stumbled in past the doorway into the Hall. Toby walked in behind her closing and locking the door.
Toby stood in front of the door unmoving.
"H-hey!?" Reina dropped the firewood and walked up to Toby.
Toby tossed the axe to the side into the living room. Not moving from the doorway.
"Move!" Reina demanded.
Toby put a finger to his lips.
" I suggest you s-stay quiet. My t-temper might be bad but I-i can t-tell you now t-that Brian's is worse." Toby said with a tad bit of amusement in his voice.
"B-Brian? Who's Brian?" Reina said confused.
"Oh I-i mean "m-masky" he said mockingly.
Reina grabbed Toby's arm and tried to pull him away from the door. But he was Stone he wouldn't move at all. But he did get annoyed pushing her off and letting her fall to the floor.
"L-look, though I c-can't kill you it doesn't m-mean I can't h-hurt you. And I d-don't mind hurting you to get my job d-done. So behave, go s-sit down on t-the couch and s-shut up." He looked down at her.
"......" she got up off the floor and quietly walk to the living room. She sat down well glaring at Toby.
Toby walked to do the living room and sat down next to her.
