chapter 2

"hows my favorite niece?" Alice yells as i enter the Cullen's house to set up early.

"im your niece that you know Alice." i say rolling my eyes.

"and even if i did know the others, you would still be my favorite." she says. "now you may be my favorite but you still got to help."

"niece? what did i miss?" Rosalie asks as she enters with Emmett.

"my grandmother is alices sister." i say simply.

"welcome to the family." Emmett says putting me in a head lock and ruffling my hair. 

"our adopted great niece. wow that sounds weird." Esme says as she enters the living room.

"and that makes you my adopted great great aunt." i say giggling.

"that sounds really weird." Carlisle says as he enters the room.

"i am right though Carlisle?"

"call me your great great adopted uncle." he says chuckling.

"i think ill stick with Carlisle." i say laughing.

"good, i did not want you to call me that evrey time you see me." we laugh.

"common great great adopted niece of mine. lets go decorate the cake." she says pulling me into the kitchen.

"talk about family issues." Emmett murmurs. as i enter the kitchen i see a three layer cake, two layers of chocolate and the middle is french vanilla. 

"were making it purple, apparently the theme of the party is pink, but i didn't think Bella would like that very much. im can start start on the chocolate strawberry's over there. the chocolate mix you brought for Alice is there." yes the gift i gave to Alice was the chocolate mix for chocolate covered strawberry, there Bella's favorite. all home made. 

i reach in the fridge and pull out the strawberry's. i take out the jar of chocolate and a pot. i put the pot on the stove-half filled with water. i put half the chocolate in a liquid measuring cup and put it in the pot, the handle over the edge so it doesn't sink. i take the strawberry's and wash them. i stir the chocolate evrey now and then so it all melts. when the chocolate is done melting i take out a pan and put on parchment paper.

i dip each strawberry in the chocolate, then place it on the pan. when im done i put the pan in the fridge. i then help Esme with the cake. when the chocolate is done cooling i take them out and place them on a plate.

"those look so good, i wish i could eat them darlin'" a familiar accent says from behind me. i jump in the air from fright and continue placing the berry's on the plate. he kisses my cheek.

"i missed you today." i say and pick up the plate.

"i had to control my thirst. you smelled divine." he says and puts a kiss on my neck, right on the vain.

"im not sure if i should be offended or grateful." i say and bring the plate downstairs to a table with snacks.

"a little bit of both."

"Bella, its my job to protect you." Edward says to bells. "from everyone except my sister and my freak of nature adopted niece." he says looking up at Alice and i as we enter the room.

"its time, its time! its time. its time!" Alice says.

"im not a freak of nature." i say.

"your a vampire family's great adopted niece." he says.

"i dont see your point,"

i grab Bella by the arm and pull her downstairs out of Carlisle study where they were talking about death and suicide.
