Harry walked down the music hall, his multiple scripts spilling from his grip as he rushed to get into the auditorium.

"You're late." His teacher glared, setting Harry uneasy. He had wanted the lead for the longest time and for once finally gathered up the courage to audition for it. He could feel his stomach flipping around as he got up onto the stage before his teacher and peers.

"Uh, Hi i'm Harry." He spoke quietly into the microphone, nervously tapping his hand against his thigh as he waited for his teacher to reply.

"What are you auditing for? And this time speak up." He teacher answered, gradually getting louder as he spoke. Harry nodded nervously, his curls bouncing as he shook his head.

"I-I'll be auditing for the Beast." Harry stuttered out, a few students stifled laughs at the thought of Harry Styles auditioning for a lead, when he could barely talk as it is.

Louis kicked up his feet onto the chair in front of him. He had no intention on being here but his friend had otherwise managed to drag him into this, saying it'd be funny to watch people fuck up their audition.

"It's that kid, ugh what's his name.." Louis friend Jack laughed, nudging his shoulder and pointing to the stage.

"Harry, his name's Harry." Louis said, sitting up in his seat. He had always known who Harry was, he used to bother him when they're were younger. Though, he'd never knew he was into music, this one has ought to be interesting.

Harry cleared his throat awkwardly, scanning the crowd for at least one familiar face in the crowd to focus on as he sung. His eyes fell upon Louis, he couldn't tear his eyes away after they met. He opened his mouth, the lyrics to "If I Can't Love Her" spilling from his mouth. He kept his eyes locked onto Louis', the connection setting his nerves at ease as he sung.

"Thank you." The teacher interrupted, scaring Harry a bit seeing how he was not expecting his audition to end that quickly. Was he that bad that they didn't want him to finish? Did he just imagine himself singing seeing as he was lost in Louis' eyes, he couldn't even remember a real sound leaving his mouth. Harry nodded, exiting himself off the stage and out of the auditorium, his chest growing tighter at the thought of his horrid audition.

Half the auditorium was staring at Louis, their eyes wide as he sat there, still mesmerized by Harry's voice. It was raspy and deep, completely unexpected for someone who looked how he did.

"Did he just say if I cant love Louis?" Jack choked out, his laughter then filling the silence of the auditorium. Louis hadn't even noticed the lyric change, he wasn't listening to that. He was listening to the tone of voice, watching the way harry's mouth moved, how his green eyes stayed fixed onto Louis' blue ones.

"I guess he did." Louis laughed awkwardly, trying to cover up the fact that didn't mind it much at all.

"Go teach that fag a lesson!" A boy a few rows in front of Louis shouted.

"Yeah go show him!" Some girl yelled, winking at Louis. He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly and stood up, looking at the all the people before him.

"Ill go teach that freak." Louis pronounced, hurrying out of the back of the auditorium, luckily no one had found the energy to follow him out.

Harry sat at the end of the music hall, his knees clutched close to his chest, his nerves shaking his entire body. The question still lingered in his head, what the hell went wrong? Tears couldn't help but spill over onto his cheeks, his hands trying to wipe them away as they fell but quickly fell behind pace. The tears fell faster then he could manage, the pain growing in his heart greater.
