I rode the bike still following Foxes. Whenever she stopped I did. When Foxes stopped again my eyes laid on a familiar figure. Patrick. He went in the truck and Foxes kept driving. I kept pedalling and stopped once in a while for water breaks.
Suddenly Foxes popped out of the window. Is she crazy? Of course not. That's not Foxes. It's all Courtney. She definitely drugged my sister.
I pulled out my water bottle to realize it was empty. I felt so dehydrated. My mouth felt like a desert. I took a break from pedalling. I spotted a water fountain to fill up my bottle.
A few minutes later I get back on the bike and...well I just made a stupid mistake. If I didn't take the break I would've still been following Foxes. Great Blaire. Way to go.
I don't think she made any turns so I keep pedalling straight down the road. I scanned through the streets to rarely see any cars around. Or people. The place looked dirty too. Wrappers and plastic bottles were scattered on the ground. I saw a few trees that had plastic bag stuck to them. This was almost a ghost town.
My legs began getting sore but I need to worry where Foxes was taking Patrick. She'll eventually find the rest and God knows what she'll do to them. I need her to snap out of this. That'll be the second thing on my mental need to do list.
Finally I saw the red truck. I pedal faster and the truck stopped. Joe, Pete, and Andy were in the back of the truck with blood all over their faces. They didn't seem to be looking at me so I dropped the bike and hid behind a nearby bush. I took a glance at the stop Foxes made. Linda Vista Hospital. Why would she make her stop here? I guess that's what Courtney told her to do.
I looked where the truck was to hear a deep voice. 'Silence the noise' it kept repeating. Just like the boom box. The youngbloods got out quickly from the truck and ran towards the hospital. Patrick was walking right behind them. His eyes were yellow again. Oh not again. He screamed and ran in the hospital.
Foxes got out of the car and cackled. I know my sister well. She doesn't laugh like that at all. Her eyes were still black. I was about to get up until I heard a motorcycle. It grew louder. I stayed hidden in the bushes to see who it was. The person stopped in front of Foxes and removed their helmet. Courtney.
"They're in there right?" I heard Courtney's ask. Foxes nodded. Courtney looked at the hospital.
"The leader will do the dirty job of killing his own members. Once he does he'll be useless," Courtney said. She faced Foxes. "Well done Foxes," she said stroking her hair. Foxes smiled.
"So do I get to keep this hat? I think it matches my eyes!" Gosh Courtney made my sister so...annoying.Courtney took the hat from my sister's head and threw it to the ground. Foxes looked at the hat then back at Courtney.
"You owe me a new one!" She pouted.
Courtney laughed. She pulled something out from her purse. A silver gun."I owe you nothing you whiny low life."
The gun let out a big bang and Foxes fell to the ground next to the fedora. I bit my tongue to stop me from crying. Courtney pointed the gun at the truck. She fired the gun until the truck looked busted. She blew from the barrel, placed the gun on Foxes' hand and got on her motorcycle. When she finally drove away I ran to my sister. A big red spot was on her forehead. Why did I let this happen to her? I could've tried to stop Courtney but Foxes and I would've ended up dead. Maybe I should've done that so Foxes and I could be with Sean. With mom and dad. I cried. I felt so worthless because it was like crying was only thing I can do. I picked up the fedora and placed it in the plastic bag where the blue t-shirt was in too.
I looked down at the gun. If there was one more bullet left it would be my chance to just get over this cruel life and be with my family. I picked up the gun and checked for bullets. There wasn't any left but I placed it in the plastic bag too. I kissed Foxes' temple and looked up at the hospital. I slowly walked up to it and wiped the tears that still ran down my face.
Nine years ago I saw my parents get killed by Courtney's workers. Yesterday I saw my best friend that I considered as my brother also get killed by Courtney's workers. Today I witnessed the murder of my sister. All of these deaths had many things in common. One, they were all people I loved. Two, I saw them die right in front of me. Three, it was all done by Courtney.
I'm not gonna let the youngbloods get killed by a brainwashed Patrick. I will not let Courtney get what she wants. I will avenge my parents, best friend, sister and the youngbloods.
