Ashton story for Rachel

"Come on, Rachel! Please come with me! It will be so much fun, you will regret not going." your best friend Ashton said to you. He was trying to make you attend this Beginning-of-the-senior-year party at the local Drive In. You sighed and stared at his puppy dog face for a moment before speaking.

"fine, fine. I guess one night without studying wouldn't hurt.," you finally replied. Ashton ran over, picked you up and threw you over his shoulder while spinning in circles. "But if I fail its all your fault. Now put me down!" you said laughing. He set you down just in time for his cell phone to ring. he glanced at the name before looking back at you "Its Lori. Ill be right back" he said answering the phone and heading down the hallway.

You and Ashton have been friends for 4 years now. You guys were together so much people started questioning if you were a couple. You liked Ashton, but you still couldn't tell if he liked you back. you don't really date or go out too much, but he did. He was considered popular at school. he went to all the huge parties and had so many friends. He always had a girl too. Not like they lasted too long though. He's currently dating a girl named Lori, he says she's got a nice bum and a bold personality. To you she sounds tacky, but you figured everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

"I think I have to break it off with Lori." Ashton said walking back into the room his eyes instantly meeting yours.

"Ashton hunny... its been like, 3 days." you couldn't help but feel a little disappointed in him, even though that tacky girl was finally gone.

"yeah, yeah. but she is so clingy! Like, I told her about how you and me are going to the movie, and she was literally begging for me to take her instead. Like I'd do that to my best friend!" you sat silently texting your friends Kat and Tina, not really sure how to reply to his rampage.

"Have you ever thought about it?" he said breaking the silence.

"thought about what?"

"us.... um dating?" he said biting his lip. you nearly dropped your phone in shock. You looked at him, again not really sure what to say. You liked him, but you didn't want to lose him.

"uh... not really no," you looked away once you saw the slight sock in his face. "I mean have YOU thought about it?" he looked out the door of your room for a moment and replied "well yeah. I mean we're great friends. why shouldn't we try?"

you couldn't hold back your mind. his voice was too serious now. Your mouth just let the words spill out, "Ashton, I can't just be another test of who you like. I can't just be another girl you throw away because they have one flaw." it was such a touchy subject to you, losing people who mean the world to you.

"Rachel, you know I can't throw you away like tha-" you cut him off,

"Yes, actually that's how it will happen ok? just.. ugh. I cant do this right now" you pushed yourself up from your chair heading for the door. but Ashton beat you. he manouvered his arm around you to shut the door, and spun you around so your back was to the door. he had his hands on the door on each side if your head and was face to face with you-- no escape.

"Rachel," he breathed "You wont be like those other girls... I have a good reason to break up with them."

"Like what, Ashton?" you snapped, "they sounded like excuses. 'she's too tall, she's too clingy, she wears too much pink' come on! Why would you do that to all those girls?"

"cause..." he was taking too long to answer for you to handle right now

"CAUSE WHY?" He stared at you for a moment, wide eyed.

"because.... they're not you. they don't watch movies with me every weekend. They don't listen to new songs I write. They don't eat Grande sized food with me. they can't compare to anything you will ever be to me."

you stared at him, shocked. you could tell he was impatient and worried due to he had no idea how you felt. you felt his body start to push his hands off the door, getting ready to walk away. you couldn't let this conversation end like this so you did the first thing that came to mind. the right thing. You pulled his shirt towards you and pushed your lips onto his, kissing him sweetly. you felt your heart flutter when he put his hands on your waist and kissed you back. The moment was perfect, and you've never felt so amazing.

You pulled away, looking at him for a reaction. Ashton smiled, revealing all his teeth. You've never seen him so happy. You sighed and smiled back before hugging him. He wrapped his arms around you in a bear hug.

Then he broke the silence, "So I take this we're together now?"

you laughed and hugged him a little tighter, " yeah, I guess so."

he kissed your forehead and let loose of the hug.

"Sooooo lets get rolling then! its 20 minutes to the movie!" He grabbed your hand and opened the door running out to the front door.

"what movie is it anyways?" you asked actually extremely curious.

"I don't know, some really old movie" you both looked at each other in disgust and started laughing.

"its ok, babe. if it sucks too bad we can talk and throw popcorn at the screen." and after he said that you couldn't help.but smile. you knew that you two were doing the right thing. and you couldn't wait to tell everyone the news, knowing it will have the perfect ending.
