"Of course not Maddy, I believe you. But we shouldn't focus on such things, we have to think about what you saw in your dream. This boy, are you sure you haven't seen him before?"

"Yes, exept for in the hospital..." I had thought about him and was almost certain that he was a stranger.

"Alright... What feelings did this dream release in you?"

Dana asked a lot of questions but in the end (two hours later) we still didn't know more. Dana smiled at me and said: "It's okay, this needs time' and we've got time." Then she left the room. I sat there, my brain was tired of working. I needed some distracion. I checked my phone to see what time it was and for my biggest surprise I had received a text message. I wasn't used to messages. The only day I got messages was on my birthday, where some family members congratulated me. So I opened up quickly the text and was even more surprised.

"Hi Maddy, I know it's strange that I write you, I got your number from from Jamie. I'm sorry I wasn't there the other day to visit you in the hospital, I was kind of busy. But I'd love to come around sometime if you don't mind. Just answer if you want me to come. Dan." Dan. Since when was he so concerned about me? He had touched my heart twice in only two days. Kind of... Not normal. But I was very exited and while I was typing the answer on my phone, I relized that I needed some time. I wasn't used to writing at all. Gosh, I remembered when I was texting people everydy three years ago and... Where  was the 'R'? Okay, finally done.

"Hi Dan, it's really nice to hear some news from you. I'd like to see you here around. You can come whenever you want, I don't have much to do here. See you, Maddy." Hmm... I wondered if it was a little to dry or so, but then I didn't want him to wait even longer for my answer.

Send.

Somehow I was very exited, and counted the seconds till he answered. Two minutes ater my phone vibrated.

"Wow that's great, is it okay for you in half an hour?"

Oh god.

"Sure, see you." I got up and looked into the mirror. My hair! I needed a shower. I jumped into the bathroom and took a shower in record time. Twenty minutes later I looked like I was ready for a date or something. I was quite exited and didn't know why. Was it because a boy was visiting me? Maybe he just wanted to be friendly, not more. What were I doing? I didn't care about other people. And then I imagined how Dan would walk into my room. Then I realized that I fogot how he wctually looked. I was focusing so much on that, that I almost fell off my bed when it knocked on my door.

"Come in." I shouted while I put myself in a nice but still cool position.

"Hey." He said.

Right, thaat's how he looked like. He ad lightbrown, short hair which were perfectly styled to match his edgy face. Then those warm, brown eyes. He was quite tall, but not too tall. And you could see that he was working out. The last time  I had seen him, I didn't realize how goodlooking he was.

"Hi, you can sit down." I said smiling. He looked around to see where he should sit. "Wherever you want." I said. Then he sat down on my bed.Right next to me. Close next to me. Maybe a little too close.

"So, how re you doing Maddy?" I could see worries in his eyes. And... Sadness?

"I'm good, great actually. And you?"

Ignoring my question he answered: "Maddy, are you sure? I mean, you're sitting in a hospital. And you were found on the street, bloodcovered and without any memories! How can you feel great?" Well, that wasn't very helpful to feel more comfortable.

"I... Dan, why did you say that? I mean, first of all I don't know you. And secondly, I know everything about what you just said and I'm aware of it. But I am just feeling good, or well now not anymore. Thanks. I just tought we could talk a little about something else to distract me or something." I turned my face awy from him. The anger, I didn't even know why I was so angry, put tears into my eyes. Damn tears, they always come in inappropriate moments. Dan put his hand on my arm, ery softly.
