Camryn's POV
My family,Missy and I helped Jake unpack and helped him settle into his new home.
"Thank you for letting me move in with you guys" Jake said
"No problem" I said
"Hey what's up with all these pictures" he asked
"They are pictures of my late brother
"Oh I'm sorry" he said
"Its fine" I said sitting down
I sat on the bed and covered my face with my hands I cried and couldn't stop.
"Camryn I'm sorry" Jake said trying to comfort me
"Its fine" I said whipping my tears
"Are you sure?" He asked
"Yeah" I said resting my head on Jake's shoulder
Jake's POV
Camryn put her head on my shoulder and I couldn't think of a better moment. I wanted to tell her I like her but she thinks of us as friends
"HEY guys! woah what went on in here?" Missy asked
"Oh nothing" Camryn said getting up and walking out on the room
We had the perfect moment but Missy had to ruined it. She sat next to me and asked about what happened I explained everything to her and she understood. All of a sudden I felt Missy trying to hold my hand.
"What are you doing?" I asked
"Trying to hold your hand, don't act like you don't like me" she said
I had a puzzled look on my face cause I didn't like her back .
"Uh yeah" I said letting go of her hand
Camryn walked back into the room and finally things went back to normal.
Camryn's POV
I walked into the room and sat next to Jake and Missy.
"Do you guys want to go and get some ice cream at Menchies?" I asked
"Yeah" they both said
We went downstairs to let my mom know that we were walking to Menchies.
"Hey guys my mom just texted me I have to leave bye" Missy said
"Bye " I said
After she left Jake and I started walking.
"Hey best friend want to do anything with me on Saturday?" Jake asked
"I don't know maybe" I said smiling
We got our ice cream and sat at a table.
I was shocked that Jake even asked that question cause no one ever asked me out.
"Okay fine but what are we gonna do?" I asked
"I was thinking a picnic at the park". Jake said
"That works for me, but is this a date?" I asked
"Maybe" he said
"But what is Missy gonna say?" I asked
"Don't worry about that" he said
We finished our ice cream and left. I couldn't help but think of what Missy was gonna say about it. I wanted to tell her but that could have an impact on our friendship but it's just one date I will be over soon and I won't have to tell her anything.
