Chapter Eight: What are the Difference between Brother and Blood-Relations?

Tiya’s POV

I sat down beside Zickie. I was silent when Shanna gave me a silent smile. I only frown at her lightly. I played with the hem of my skirt and frown. Zickie continued talking as if nothing just happened. I wanted Trinton back here! I wanted him to hold me close.

I jumped when Zickie placed a gentle hand on my thigh. It was gentle yet it was cold. As if he was bout roughly yank close and force himself on me. I smiled at Zickie and lightly placed my hand on his hand.

“Zickie, I’m going to go use the bathroom.” I stood slowly and made my way to the restroom.

I glanced at the lady behind the counter only to see that she was looking at Zickie with dreamy eyes. I rolled my eyes and hurried my way to the bathroom. Once inside I glanced in the mirror fixing my short curly hair. I smiled a weak smile at myself.

“You are going to be ok. Everything is going to be ok.” I whispered to myself.

‘No it won’t because you know you mess up. You didn’t even go to school today to talk to Trinton.”

I jumped when my reflection replied back to me.

“E-Excuse me?”

‘You heard me! Look at you, looking all cute and nice for a boy that made you realize you are evil. However you’re not evil you are just a hurt teenager! That’s a difference. You got to get away from this boy Tiya.’

“How am I going to do that? I mean Zickie is a nice….”

‘Now you know he’s not nice!  HE just forced you to kiss him…. He a nice kisser but it wasn’t your baby lips. It was another man’s lips. Contact Trinton and see where he wants to meet you at. I am sure he would love to skip just for you!’

I nodded my head and was about to say something back at my reflection but a lady walked into the bathroom. I gave a quick smile and rubbed my lips together. As if I had just put lip gloss on and I washed my hands. That’s when I saw she stood beside me fixing her dark wavy hair and applying eye-liner.

“Excuse me; may I use your phone? I’ll just be right here.” I asked.

The lady gave a weary look and slowly reached for her cell phone. I grabbed it slowly to just show I wasn’t trying to still it.

I dialed Trinton’s number and waited calmly for an answer.

“Hello? I got class baby, are you ok?”

My heart skipped a beat. He still loved me after all that. I mean he still called me baby!

“I’m at this café but can you meet me at Gage Ave. It’s down the street from the mall.”

“Why are you that deep in the city? I’m on my way. I can tell my best friend, Mike to watch my stuff.” Trinton hug up the phone with a click.

I handed the phone to the lady, “Thank you.”

I left out the bathroom but this time I had a plan.

Escape the café without being noticed! I made way to the counter where they can enter. I crawled behind the counter. The lady looked down at me with a raised eyebrow. She was about to say something but I pressed my fingers to my lips, inducting I wanted her to keep silent. She nodded in understanding and I kept crawling.

I walked into the kitchen and made way to the exit. I sighed relief and started to jog to Gage Ave. I needed to see Trinton; I mean I won’t lie any more! I don’t want to fight no more with the boy who loves me.
