The next few months leading up to opening night were a haze. I was spending time with 3 guys, trying to decide who I loved. I gave Joe one more shot and spent a nice dinner with him. Then I went out to an arcade with Nick. Jeff treated me to a picnic in the park one afternoon. They all treated me so well and I was still so confused. Opening night was busy and everyone was running around. Matt and Nick were checking the props, Joe was getting into costume and I was chatting with the girls. "Emma, just follow your heart. I'm sure it will work itself out." Lauren said.
"I hope so. Its driving me crazy." I said.
Just then Aj came over with a bouquet of flowers that he said were from someone in the audience. There was a card attached which read:
Roses are Red, Violets are Blue
My heart beats wildly,
All just for you.
Good Luck Tonight

"Who sent them?" Jamie asked.
"It says anonymous. Whoever did this is so sweet." I said smiling.
I got into my first costume and waited for my cue backstage. "One shot, Two shots in the night..." I heard as the show started. Joe was really getting into being Batman. I watched him move around the stage, making different fighting poses. During my time off stage, I thought about my past with joe. He really hadn't changed much since our break up. Now Nick and Jeff on the other hand were both really sweet guys, it was hard to pick.
My time on stage with Nick was the best in my mind. He got into character so well that I sometimes forgot it was him. I still hadn't figured out who sent me the flowers but I had some ideas. Off stage, my friends and co-stars pulled pranks on each other. Jim threw my over his shoulder like a sack and carried me around for a laugh. Brian squirted Dylan in the face with a water gun as he came off stage. We were a bunch of goofballs.
After the show I took the flowers from back stage showed them to nick. "Did you send these to me?" I asked.
"No, I haven't sent any flowers. That's a good idea though." He said smiling.
I showed him the card and his face grew red, it definitely wasn't him.
The next night I received another bouquet much larger than the last with a new poem:
My love for you grows stronger
With each passing day.
You are more beautiful than flowers in May.

I felt myself swoon reading the sweet poem. The show started and I noticed Joe looking at me more often. He would pass me back stage and try to make me laugh like he used to. Nick winked at me every time I passed him. The show was running smoothly and soon the night was done. I carried my flowers to Meredith's car to ride back to the mansion. We hung out and watched movies while eating take out.
During the next show Nick Lang delivered another bouquet of flowers to me dressed as Robin. "Flowers for Emma!" He said.
"Thank You!" I said smiling.
"Now off to find Batman!" He yelled running away.
The poem this time read:
Batman fights crime with a belt of tools,
But without you he would cry little pools.

Was Joe the one sending these flowers? This one mentions batman and he is playing batman. I decided to question him after the show. I went to see him and he was gone. He had left immediately after the show for dinner. On the last night, I received one last bouquet with a last poem:
Do you know who I am? Can you guess?
If you don't figure this out, I'll be a mess.

This time it was given to me by Chris dressed as Alfred, so it wasn't Chris. On the back of the poem it read:
If you are ready to find out, meet me after the show by the big windows in the back of building.
I couldn't wait to figure out who was behind these sweet poems. I made my way (still in my black canary costume) to the back of the building. I saw Batman facing the windows, looking out at the night. "Hello?" I asked.
He slowly removed the mask and turned around, it was Joe all along. "Hi Emma, I know I'm probably not who you were expecting to see but I miss you so much." He said.
"Did you write all those poems?" I asked.
"Yea, I really want you back Emma. Will you take me back?" He asked.
I walked up to him and touched his face. We both smiled. He leaned in for a kiss and I kissed him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and his arms around my waist. I was back with Joe again.
