"Rocky! Give me another shot!" Rubble cheered in the air, bouncing up and down on the pink trampoline. Rocky had invented a Meat-Thrower machine; it shoots the meatball somewhere like a mini Catapult. Thanks to his handy tools that Ryder had invented him, he could invent anything possible!

"Coming up Rubble!" Rocky shouted, as he placed the meatball on it's place. He pressed the metal board and the meatball flew in the air. Rubble jumped as high as he could to catch it, and it went straight into his mouth.

"M-m Delicious!" He exclaimed, while the other pups in line were laughing. He got of the trampoline and Marshall was next. He clumsily walked on the trampoline and started jumping low.

The other pups were eager to make him
Jump higher, because he sometimes has the fear of heights. "Higher!" They all exclaimed, wagging their tails like young born pups, "Higher Marshall!"

Marshall looked down at them while he's jumping, "Oh, uh okay..." He whispered loudly, then started to jump harder and higher."

It wasn't as high as Rubble's nor Zuma's, so the pups told him to jump more higher. Marshall gulped and jumped higher. That was the height of Chase's. Every pup didn't tell him to jump any higher, because the height of Chase was the height of Skye, which was the highest of all. And also, he might jump elsewhere.

"Do you want a Meatball Challenge Marshall?" Rocky shouted, as Marshall shook in fear. The Dalamation looked at him and made a clumsy smile, "Erm, I will try..."

"Go Marshall!" Chase exclaimed, who was the loudest. He loved Marshall facing his fear, though he also thinks about him getting hurt. Probably Rocky 's Challenge isn't that hard for him.

Rocky press the metal and the meat came flying. The Meatball was low and steady. It was targeting Marshall's legs Luckily, he noticed it and began to lower his head. He got the ball and ate it with happiness. He smiled.

"I say, Rubble was right," He chuckled, "The Meatball is delicious!"

Everyone began to laugh, especially Rubble, who was mentioned. Every pup had already got a go, and Rocky was surely proud.

It was Summer, where the sun was rising above them. The land was hot and almost every week they would go to the beach. Sometimes Rocky asked Marshall to spray him a bit, and no one was blaming him because it was Summer.

He remembered his first Summer. He was born in Spring where his mother couldn't carry him inside her anymore. All the Cubs were playing Tug-Of-War with a vine that Shadow had found. Shadow, his favorite pack-brother. He was about three moons older than Rocky, and was also born in Spring. He loved the face of Shadow, and his hunting skills and jumps and yip-and-yowls.

He got along with everyone, even the grey cat who lives with Katie. But he wasn't sure that he got along with everyone well. Chase was the one. He wasn't sure about him, though he felt likeness to him. For now and then, Chase and Skye, Marshall and Everest were the couples in the team. But he remembered Zuma telling him that Skye was giving up on Chase.

Rocky really wanted to find his old pack and play with them for a day or two. He wished that one time he was free and will go to his family, but the problem was that he was in another pack. This was strange. The law of the wolves were "A wolf can't be in two packs." Did Rocky broke it?

When the other pups were doing something else, Rocky looked over the horizon of adventure Bay. The was a whole town and bunch of trees at the back, where he had belonged. Suddenly, Chase caught him gazing.

"You sure are sad," said Chase, walking next to him. Rocky went still, "Missing your pack?"

Rocky nodded, saying nothing but breath. This was the first time Chase was actually speaking to him alone, but it might turn out to be a fight. But it turns out Rocky was wrong, Chase was actually keeping him company. "Maybe one time, you should visit them," he said, sitting in his normal way, "That will make you happy."

"But what if I needed?" Rocky whispered loudly, not that enough courage, "If I was needed in a mission, what shall I do?"

"We will try to get at least a day to sleep, hunt and play with your pack, just ask Ryder."

He smiled. He smiled. This couldn't be happening. This was a dream. No, it wasn't. It was true. Chase actually smiled at him. His normal daylight smile to anyone, even Callie. This was really different. Maybe Chase had really changed.

Rocky smiled at the evening sky, while the sun was beginning to sink. He had learned a lot from this pack that was almost the same to his own pack. The Bright-Beast-that-Bites-Hot was actually called "Sun." And the shorter form was called "Fire." He got used to it before Zuma joined the patrol.

Tonight was the night that he was going to tell Ryder, the leader of the pack. Rocky kept on using pack to himself because it won't get away. When no one was around and Ryder was all alone upstairs. Rocky used the lift to get up there, ever since his first mission. The technology was unfamiliar to Rocky, but he got used to it now. He wore his gear and jumped out of the lift, while Ryder was playing games on his pup-pad. Ryder stopped when he heard the bell ding.

"Hi Rocky," He said, lowering his pup-pad, "What's up?"

Rocky came still; his courage wasn't so great, "Ryder could I ask you something?" He asked.

"Anything pup, I know you." Ryder smiled.

Rocky gulped, "Well, it has been two summers, I mean two years since You guys founded me," Rocky paused, "And I feel like that I want to..."

"Visit your old pack?" Ryder chuckled, "Rocky you could always do that, only at certain times."

Rocky smiled and wagged his tail fast, "Could I sleep with them for one night?" He asked.

Ryder giggles and looked at the excited pup, "Rocky, would you think that I will say no? Of course you could!"

Rocky couldn't take if anymore and started to pounced on Ryder and licked his face twice, like a wolf-cub. Ryder laughed and pulled Rocky's muzzle away, and became a bit serious. "Now Rocky, you can't let anyone know except me, Chase, Skye and Marshall. You will never know what happen."

"But how?"

Ryder gazed out around the room and scratched his brownish hair, "Say that you and Skye need to go camping, that means Skye needs to go with you," Ryder said, "Or just say that someone needs you for a night."

This was hard for Rocky, because he was lying a lot. About his secret life as cub and visiting his pack. What chaos is with that? But Ryder was his pack leader, and he knows how or what happens if.

If......If.....

If Rocky told the youngest, would they ever think they would be safe with him? What would now Chase think around then? What would happen to Rocky himself?

At that evening, Ryder told Rocky that he will set out on Friday, which was tomorrow. Chase would sniff out that wolf tracks that smelled like Rocky for him. So for that, Chase was coming with him. But what if Chase changed his mind?

"I would run, and attack," Chase had said when Rocky was a young cub. It was hurtful and sad, and luckily it went away after four moons. Then, he pushed those thoughts at the back in his mind.

Because tomorrow, he was going to meet his pack again.
