Cinderella Time

I got too excited:
I dolled up for your stead--
Hoping you could finally see,
the feelings that I keep in me..
I wish nothing but your happiness--
that alone, and nothing else;
besides, from the start I knew it was pointless--
for I know in your heart there is someonelse..
But today I thought it right,
to show this feelings slight...
as I felt we grew closer--
as everyday we spent together...
and so here I am with you...
thinking you feel the same way too;
but now I think I thought too soon,
for here in the front of us is her in whose presence you could swoon...
its the one fact I forgot:
that a love, you have already got--
that even when I came with you like this,
I can never replace the one you miss..
so I guess my Cinderella time is over;
I ought to be back to my original cover--
back to the one by your side--
the one who understands what you hide.
I guess this is all I can be--
for the one who you hold dear is not me;
It hurts like this but I guess I don't really mind--
for a love like this is hard to keep and find.
Today I'll sit back with my feelings on the sideline--
keep on dreaming that one day you'll reciprocate these feelings of mine;
hoping you could find my heart left like the glass slipperswhen the bell chimed;
so that I can live back in that Cinderella time...
