Secret Love

Chapter 3

The annual school prom is going to be held this friday.
Posters and banners have already been hung up around the school.

"Well, Marinette, have you decided who to go with?" Alya questioned.
"Not yet, what about you?" She replies back.
"Im going with... Nino!" She squeaked happily. "He asked me out yesterday!"
"Wow! Congrats!"
"Im surprised someone havent asked you yet." She smirked and looked to the left, at Adrien.
"No..o.. he.. wouldnt.. ask someone like.. me" she mumbled.
"Of course he will! Look, he's heading this direction."
"Wh..hat?" She panicked.

Suddenly, Chloe ran towards him and hugged him.
"Adrien, darling!" She started. "Do you have any dates for the prom?" She questioned.
"Not yet but.."
"Me too! Lets go to the prom together!" She say cheerfully.

Marinette overheard. She feels that energy had drained out of her.

"That girl..." Alya mumbled angrily.

"Chloe.. sorry i.. have someone .. in mind.." Adrien apologised.
"What? But.. WHO IS SHE?" Chloe shouted angrily.
Adrien walked towards Marinette.
"Marinette! Will you go to the prom with me?" He held up a red rose.
"Adr..ien.. i .. what.. i meant... yes!"
Chloe tore up and stomped towards them.
"You want to go to the prom, WITH HER?" Chloe shouted.
"Yes, Chloe, is that a problem?"
"No.. i .. Adrien.. i.. urgh!" She walked off with Sabrina behind her.
"See you on Friday." He smiled before walking off.
"OMG girl, you got a date!" Alya screamed.
Marinette screamed. "Omg omg omg.." she couldnt believe it.
"I got to make the dress for the prom now!" She hurriedly grabbed her sketch book and started sketching at the nearby bench.
Alya giggled. "Thats what i call early preparation.

The bell rang.
"Lets go Marinette."
They got to class and settle down.
The teacher walked in and the class gretted her.
Chloe glared at Marinette angrily.
Marinette feels uncomfortable and decided to ignore Chloe's glares.

Time passes soon and school have ended.
Marinette and Alya both went to Marinette's house.
"Alya, what would you like your dress to be?" Marinette questioned.
"Uhm.. i want something that fits me."
"How about the dress will be Orange and Hazelbrown? And there will be two strips here," she says as she draw the dress design "and then there will be a small pattern here.. is this ok?" She shows Alya the design.
"Oh my god, this is awesome!" Alya replies and hugged her bestfriend.
Marinette smiled.

"Marinette? Time for dinner."
"Coming!" She replies, finishing the last bit of the design.
She went downstairs and had dinner before rushing up to continue with the dress.

"Ow!" She shouted as she sucked her index finger.
"Marinette! Be careful. And dont forget you have patrol duty with ChatNoir later." Tikki said.
"Oh yeah, thanks Tikki! I almost forgot."
She placed down her needle.

"Tikki, Spots on!"
Her normal red and black suit appeared.
She went to the balcony and jumped up the roof.
She jumped roof to roof to their meeting spot.
She was there first.
She sat down and thought about her date with Adrien to the prom.
She smiled.
"Hey M'lady! What made you so happy?" ChatNoir asks.
"Nothing much." She replies.
"Aww, M'lady, please?"
"Fine... i have a prom date with the guy i have a crush on!" She said excitedly.
"Guy.. you.. have a crush.. on..?" He repeated.
He looked down and felt a surge of anger.
"M'lady... may i know.. who is your man of your dreams? Please?"
"Fine, i dont think you'll know him anyways. His name..."
He listen carefully, trying to hold his anger. His lady, loves someone else...
"Is.. Adrien"
"Adrien..?" He looked at her shocked.
"Why..? You know him..?" She questioned.
"No.. just.. i never heard of him before... you said.. you have a prom date.. with him?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Nothing.."
He thought for a moment.
If hr had a prom date with his lady, and his date was with Marinette.. does this means..
He realized. Marinette is Ladybug.

He smiled.
He finally know his lady identity.
"Marinette.." he mumbled.
"Huh?" She questioned, didnt really hear him.
"Oh nothing." He looked up and smiled brightly.

"Lets go, m'lady."

No villans in sight and soon i became late.
"Chat, ill be going now! Cya tomorrow." Ladybug waved to her partner.
"Good night M'lady" he replied and kissed her hand.
She frowned and swing her yoyo, jumping roof to roof.
She landed on her balcony and de-transformed.
Little did she know, Chatnoir was following her secretly.
"I know i promised but..." he looked and gasped.
"She IS Marinette.."
