it amazed me what love could do to a person. it could fill someone with endless happiness, or it could completely shatter someone into bits and pieces until there is nothing left of them.
watching momma and daddy love each other was beautiful. watching daddy and momma breakfast early in the mornings, kiss momma's cheek, hugging momma, smiling, dancing with her in the kitchen- it was all so fucking lovely. they were happy.
they were in love.
and then one day, it fell apart. the love was ripped away from daddy, and so daddy ripped it away from momma.
love is a scary thing. what it could do to a person is petrifying.
watching momma fall apart at the expense of daddy's love was devastating and i vowed to never fall as deeply in love with someone as momma had with daddy.
