It started with a hello...

Start of something new

"Uhhh hey, your Briar right?" He finally speaks, I feel my nerves kick in "g'day mate" I rush "I am so sorry I get really nervous when I meet people and then I stutter and trip over words and then I completely stuff up a greeting so then I apologise and rant in about how I'm sorry an-" I stop myself from embarrassing myself any further "sorry" I plainly state "Yes I'm Briar and your Jace right?" "Yeah that's me and no worries about the ramble and stuff, I know plenty of people that do that" he gives me a boost of confidence and our conversation kinda sparks from there, I think I would rather have a friendship more then a relationship with this guy. "So dot out have any siblings?" I ask him "I have one older sister Mia, she also got in here" he answers "wait Mia, she's my room mate" I match the similarities with him "so you and Myles huh?" I was taken aback a bit by this comment "me and Myles? No we are just friends I only met him today, or yesterday and an hour ago, I don't know jet lag is killing me." I explain he chuckles in response. And cue the awkwardness. "Hey guys, have you seen some one around here with the name Briar No let. She said No let instead of nolaye. the T is silent. "It's Nolaye" I say raising my hand slightly. Is my people fright going away? "Hey I'm Mia" She says "I'm Briar" it may look like I said it normally... but I didn't I said it in a French accent. "Oh your French?" She says. and then I hear a laugh, and there is Myles standing behind Mia. "Told you she'd make a fool of herself" he laughs. I walk behind him and punch his arm. "Owwww" he whines "Good, you deserve it" I say Mia and Jace just stand there laughing. "Are they a thing" I hear Mia say "They both said they weren't but I don't believe them.. like at all" Jace whispers back. Myles and I just shrug it off and walk away "I'll see you later Mia." I shout "Okay, I'll meet you at the bus" She yells back. "So..." Myles nudges me "So... what?" I say back mocking him by nudging him back "What'd you think of Jace" I realise what he was doing "You were trying to set me up?" I whisper yelled "No, Well maybe, kinda, yeah?" he says more like a question. I just punch him again and we go and get some Starbucks. 

As Myles and I are walking back to the bus, I see Mia wave me over. Even though I made a complete fool of myself, I think we might become good friends. Maybe even best friends. Wait no, Myles and I hopefully will be more like best friends. "So you sitting next to me or Myles?" Mia asks me "I don't mind, as long as I know the person I am sitting next to, I'm fine" I respond "Hey Briar" Myles runs over "Save me a seat next o you?" he asks, then runs away "I guess I'm sitting with Myles" I chuckle "Okay I'll sit next to Jace" I think I've got my own little group of friends. That's enough for now I think. Mia and I head to the bus and get two double seats for Jace and Myles "Hey guys" Jace greets "Thanks for the seat Briar" Myles said as he took his seat next to me. The Kacey walks in "Okay, it appears you guys have all chosen a seating partner. Well that's too bad, because boys... you will be on the other bus because you are going to the other side of campus to the girls. So off you trot guys." Carl earns a few groans after he announces that the boys have to leave. Mia automatically comes and sits next to me. and we start talking about random things. "So I was thinking, now that we are roomies, we should probably be best friends, you down?" She randomly says out of no where. But I want to keep this friendship for as long as I can so why not. "I would love to be your best friend" Then the bus starts. "Okay everyone, the trip there is like, 3 hours" Kacey announces. Murmers come from the girls on the bus and trust me, you would not want to be Kacey right now. Or the bus driver.
